I've got one of these guitars in the tobacco burst finish with aluminium wrap over bridge. Do you still have yours? I can say that I am normally very fussy when it comes to guitars but this one is an excellent guitar. I've had USA Gibsons and this beauty is built much better. This Korean made beauty is built very well, it's very light and it resonates perfectly. The neck and body on mine resonate together in perfect 5ths.

great playing and I have a question for you or anyone that has experience with this guitar. I am considering one but I have hear from people that they go out of tune after some bends and what not.. Can you upgrade the tuning pegs on this guitar?

I have no tunning problems. Of course it is not a floyd rose system, it is just a standard bridge, and works fine to me.

I got an SE right after they first came out and I had tuning problems with it I played an SE 24 at a music store recently and it also didn't hold tuning well. Some tuning problems can be fixed with a professional setup but you can always put locking tuners on it. I would also tell you to look on ebay or craigslist for a used PRS CE 24 - they are american made and can be found for $1000 to $1200. They are essentially a Standard 24 with a bolt on neck. Much higher quality then a Korean made SE.

The shorts are a vintage white singlecut model that went out of production in the 80's. These models were known for their wearability and bland tone, far superior to the modern full trouser standard model.

Thanks! I don´t have the American PRS, but I had some opportunities to play it. American PRS are the state of art in terms of contruction, and the sound could not be different, it is amazing! But the price is to high....

I find it for 450 euros (in UK market). i already have a Fender Stratocaster Ritchie Sambora (mexican).Tell me about the neck is too thick or not? No, there is no push/pull on my PRS. The stock pickups doesn´t allow it. However, I installed one capacitor on the volume pot, which emphasize the high frequencies when you turn the volume down.

Wha strings do you use. I played two guitars that were both set up the same but one had 10s and one had slinky top heavy bottom strings on and the slinky top heavy bottoms were so much better. Could have sat in the shop all day, first time I havent been really conscious of being in a guitar shop.

I use 0.9 strings on my PRS. I prefer 0.10, but 0.9 strings working better for guitars with tremolo.

Thanks, I am using slinky top heavy bottoms as the guy in the store said they were the reccommended strings. The guitar plays better for me than 10s, but I will try 9s.

I bough an SE cutom 22 fret! They are amazing had mine for about 4 months now got no problems! Upgraded the Stock bridge pu to a Seymour Duncan Distortion Pu and I think i prefer the stock for metal as pinches sound awesome on them what do u guys reckon? keep the SD or change back?

I just love the stock PRS pickups. Seymour duncan is also a nice pickup. It depends of your taste. Good look!

It is a standart tremolo, similar of fender strat. Works fine and guitar stay in tune. I set my as a floating tremolo.

Thanks Vicus! All tremolo guitars goes out of tune after use tremolo a lot. There are some things that you can do to help your guitar stay in tune, but there is no miracle. Tremolo or fixed bridge will depends of your stile. I love both kind of guitars(with tremolo and fixed bridge), they are diferent tools...

I have recently played few PRS. One of them was SE Soapbar Semi-hollow custom. In my opinion it's awesome. Much better than ibanez guitars.

I have never played any fender ( i will have to try at last). I saw you've got both guitars. Which one do you like more? If u have to buy a guitar - fender american standard strat or this prs. Cash no matters. Which would you choose now?

And ibanez TS-9 - is it worth it?

Fender standard is a nice guitar also, but for my taste I would recommend PRS Custom SE. TS9 and Boss DS-1 are both nice overdrives, that I use to pump my tube amplifier. If you are in USA, you can try Barber DirectDrive, it is a very nice overdrive also.

I didn´t have tab for this music,I just keep the main solo part as a chorus and some improvisation between. I created the background with a friend (bass player), using some acid pro drum loops, and I did some overdubs with my guitar on the harmony part. I can send you the backgroung by e-mail. what is the size of the neck? Is it easy to sweep?

Ibanez has a slim and faster neck. PRS neck is fatter as gibson 50s necks, but with a stratocaster fretboard spacement. I like PRS neck, I just sold my Ibanez JEM555 to buy this PRS Custom SE. But I would suggest to you play both guitars and take your own conclusions.

PRS SE series are built in Korea. My guitar is a PRS Custom SE. It has a similar project of Americans PRS Custom, but built in Korea. I consider these PRS SE guitars the best buy for this price level.

It cames with a standart tremolo, like vitange stratocasters bridge. These kind of bridges are not so stable, but as compared with floyds and other tremolos, it just need some patiance and knowledge to make some small tunning. My PRS required some small tunnings as well, but now it works fine. I am saving some money to put locking tunners,but anyway it is working well without it.
