I have migraines too. The dogs are a big help and a great comfort. I have a Pomeranian and I did have a Pekingese (but she recently passed away) and they always understand when I am feeling bad. They are very sympathetic. What a sweet little Papillon. We are thinking of adopting a Papillon next time. Yours is a beautiful dog.
give your wife a hug for me... I know how that is, I'm 22 and have had chronic migraines since I was 9 years old. I've had to stop school and work more times than I can count and have missed more family events and just normal days of my life due to this problem. My thoughts are with you both... I know how hard it is on my fiance too, and I can relate to having someone trying their best to help out!!! good luck
ive had migraines for about 4 years and yeah they suck big time they leave me feelin tired for days ive noticed that everytime i get them is when im under stress and when i dont eat well those 2 things combined and for me i just take advil right away and rest in a dark room
Yeh, my wife is legally disabled with them. She had been a professor, and tried working a few part time jobs after that but she just couldn't- the effects of the migraines and the medicines were such she just wasn't (isn't) able to function productively for any duration or with any consistency.
The tiredness is a common effect / "comorbidity"- often times my wife "sleeps off" a migraine, with the Papillon and I helping cuddle her to sleep. She just got out of the hospital, she was there for 2 weeks, the longest in years. I hope yours never become as bad as my wife's, but should they, the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago is the BEST, they're the Mayo or Hopkins of headaches!
I know how your wife feels. I have suffered from migraines since I was about 6 well I am 29 now. They trully suck, and hurt so bad...and I my dog does the same thing with me. If I go and lay in a dark room he is by me as close as he can get. People who don't have migraines will never fully understand that a "headache" to them could possibly be debilitating because they are.
No they don't, you're right... they treat it like "it must be stress" "it must be all in your head" to which my wife (when she's in a better than normal mood) will say EXACTLY- THERE'S MOLTEN MAGMA... ALL IN MY HEAD!
Hi, I just wanted to let your wife know that she is not alone. I have been suffering chronically for the past three years also. Seeing her with your dog is like looking in a mirror at myself as my three dogs, two schnauzers and one maltese, can't cuddle close enough. It is very soothing emotionally. I'm researching "neurofeedback". Please give my best regards to your wife.
Thank you for your sweet words... I'm glad your dogs are such a comfort to you. I think if anyone could cure ALL migraines the women of the world would appoint him/her grand supreme ruler (since migraines affect women far more than men.)
I don't think Hilde moved an inch during this vid. She just sat there keeping watch over and commiserating with your wife. In fact, it looks like your wife was trying to be as comforting and reassuring to Hilde as Hilde was to your wife. Loved it!
Yep, you got it. Thanks for subscribing, I'm going to invite you as a friend so I don't have to approve each comment you make. (I changed my settings that way when I kept getting porn sites leaving ads in the comments of my vids.)

Interesting... she loves fresh fruit, so I'm sure she'd not mind, :>

My mom gets bad migranes occasionally, and when they come she has to lay in bed too. I am so sorry about ur wife.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I know how hard it is to watch someone you love suffer and be helpless.
My mom used to get sick when I was a child with something they couldn't treat either, but not migraines.

Sorry to hear about your loss... even though I'm late in responding. Did you ever adopt a Pap?
We have a puppy now, offspring of this dog and our male. He's too cute, but I think he's all we're going to have.
Paps are visually stunning, but what I most love about them is how people-focused they are. They want nothing more than to be part of the family.
Even though toys, they've never growled or snapped at a child... or even an adult, come to think of it.
Cats and squirrels though... ;>

Wow... how awful. At least my wife had some adult life without them.
Have you considered the Diamond Headache Clinic or the Michigan Pain Institute?
Of course, my wife's been with Diamond almost 5 years, and all they can offer is palliative care.
Congrats on the Fiance... by now maybe husband, that's great for you both!

Thank you, she is adorable. Though when she leans over my head at 5am to lick me awake, she can be a bit disconcerting! ;>

Yeh, I see that on your page. I'll have to check it out. Mine go evil if left alone, but with my wife disabled, that doesn't happen often.

It is amazing how intuitive and sensitive animals are to human moods and emotions. Hilde obviously loves her mommy very much!
