I'm not against Creatine, I'm saying be smart about it. Skip loading doses, all they do is get you to cellular saturation a few days sooner, but put a much higher risk on your kidneys. Do not over dose. Don't take without long breaks of not taking inbetween to give your body time to return to normal. Be aware if you are overweight Creatine after full loading can put on 10 pounds or more and it isn't muscle, it's water retention.

The FDA can only remove supplements IF they (the FDA) prove they are unsafe. They don't have to prove they work.
Creatine has a three fold effect. The first and most noticeable is it causes muscle tissue to retain fulid, therefore you LOOK bigger, assuming you like the puffy look. How much varies greatly from indvidual. It will help with ATP conversion, BUT that effect is short lived. The main purpose it to allow you to get 2-3 more reps. Over time, that might get you bigger stronger. Loading doses, taking before/after workout is junk science. Simply take once a day to reach a certain blood level.
I'm telling you, creatine is good stuff. It's almost like legal steroids. It really does make you stronger and you can get a lot more reps with heavier weights. I am also speaking from experience, and it really works. The best advice is to mix it with a warm beverage so it dissolves all the way. If you mix it with a cold liquid, it's not gonna dissolve completely and you'll just be wasting product and you will not get the best results. I was in the best shape of my life when I used supplements.

It's a protein that is used for the re phosphorylation of ADP into ATP which is the prime energy factory for your muscles. Steroids provide hormones like Testosterone to incite growth. I'm not saying that increased my strength by 10% of course.h.
@vivalabaker Depends what muscle groups you're going to work. If you work biceps you'll get definition + size. Im 170 and i have large biceps and medium abs, but that is mainly because i dont focus on core i lift for strength and football. I would recommend hemo rage black ultra concentrate or cellucor c4/m5. I helps with all of your lifts, reps, definition, mass and endurance just make sure you drink at least 45 oz. of water a day.
@vivalabaker A difference in strength? About a week. A difference in size about 2-3 but alot of this will be water, but in the end when you cycle off you will be bigger than you were before.

This really is the same reason you need to stop taking Creatine after several weeks of normal dosing to give kidneys time to clear it out of your system. The only effect of loading is muscles for a short time appear bigger because duh... they are swollen from retaining excess fulid (mostly water). Don't do it!

Loading typically means taking 10-20 times the suggested amount for several days. The claim is to "build up" levels in your muscles. With most claims there's a bit of truth. Yes, you will retain fulid. Worse your blood level of Creatine can go sky high. This can be very dangerous.

Creatine is considered relatively safe IF you don't take it long term without a break. That means you shouldn't be on it for no more than 6-8 weeks at a time, then take a month off before getting back on. While not toxic directly Creatine makes both your liver and kidneys work harder. Do NOT overdose. In extreme cases can cause liver failure or result in end stage renial disease. The risk increases the older you are.

Now for what they DON'T tell you on the label. Creatine is just another supplement. As such, it is NOT regulated by the FDA like food or drugs are. The only law that applies it the ingredients must be listed and none know to be harmful. The rest can be snake oil and any claims to what the product does can be and often is puffing, false advertising and bullshit. Creatine has a three fold effect. The first and most noticeable is it causes muscle tissue to retain fulid, therefore you LOOK bigger, assuming you like the puffy look. How much varies greatly from indvidual. It will help with ATP conversion, BUT that effect is short lived. The main purpose it to allow you to get 2-3 more reps. Over time, that might get you bigger stronger. Loading doses, taking before/after workout is junk science. Simply take once a day to reach a certain blood level.

I'm telling you, creatine is good stuff. It's almost like legal steroids. It really does make you stronger and you can get a lot more reps with heavier weights. I am also speaking from experience, and it really works. The best advice is to mix it with a warm beverage so it dissolves all the way. If you mix it with a cold liquid, it's not gonna dissolve completely and you'll just be wasting product and you will not get the best results. I was in the best shape of my life when I used supplements.

It's a protein that is used for the re phosphorylation of ADP into ATP which is the prime energy factory for your muscles. Steroids provide hormones like Testosterone to incite growth. Completely different. And the best advice is to mix it with carbohydrates because they speed along the absorption process.

That is how creatine works... I'm not big at all but 1 week in a loading phase of creatine put 3/4's of an inch on my biceps. that isn't bad considering how long that would take in general. I'm not saying that increased my strength by 10% of course.h.

@vivalabaker Depends what muscle groups you're going to work. If you work biceps you'll get definition + size. Im 170 and i have large biceps and medium abs, but that is mainly because i dont focus on core i lift for strength and football. I would recommend hemo rage black ultra concentrate or cellucor c4/m5. I helps with all of your lifts, reps, definition, mass and endurance just make sure you drink at least 45 oz. of water a day.
