  • Ok; first of all pics would be nice in order to try and determine what the spots are; if no pics area of service so I could recommend a knowledgeable cleaner from my professional forum group to look at it. Remember when shopping for cleaners to stay away from national chains; their commercials are entertaining but techs are inexperienced, young, and are taught to upsale you stuff you don't need. My email is on my profile if you care to send pics or service area privately.

  • This lady know absolutely nothing about cleaning carpet; I am a pro with more than 30 years at cleaning carpet, rickiefontenotsjanitorialservices dotcom

  • @rjfdube

I recently moved to house where there used to be a dog who had incontinence and there are spots all over the carpet t was supposedly steam cleaned but it looks very dirty with dark stains, what is the best way to clean it?

  • does it clean paint from carpets

  • Why not just light the bloody carpet on fire?!! Experts my ass!

  • What does this have to do with steam cleaning?

  • just put some furniture over it job done now lets go have some beer >:P

  • @logtech663 hahaha,.lmao,im with you!!!lets go!!LOL!!

  • I'm amazed at the over use of the term 'steam cleaning' . Many of these domestic grade machines (and a few so-called professional types) simply rely on hot water from your tap which goes into an unheated storage tank where it mixes with a chemical or two. Then it cools down and is virtually useless when it gets dumped onto the carpet. Since it will have a perfume smell, most customers then think it must be clean because it smells clean. Proper dry steam is the only way to break down stains.

  • tell me this video is a joke!

  • NO NO NO...If you are looking for nice carpetcleaning i Denmark - You can try TRY.dk

  • thys ppl r fukkin dummm....

  • NEVER USE RESOLVE. When you finally call a professional they will have a harder time taking care of the resolve, than the dirtiest spots.

  • sponsored by RESOLVE

  • Grinding the carpet is the best way to insure carpet damage. Expertvillage appears to be full of idiots.

  • do yourself a favor call a IICRC pro in your area. You're going to have $75. tied up in a Rug Doc. A pro would have the carpet in your house cleaned by the time you get back from the grocery store with a rental. And it will look much better. Truck mount hot water extraction. I.E. steam cleaning is the best.

  • @tamaman7777

I've used a Rug Doc and it was bloody useless. A vibrating brushbar simply spread any dirt over a wider area in an attempt to make it less obvious. Plus it was heavy and slow and a pig to clean properly before returning it.

I had better results simply using a wall paper stripper with a carpet head and a microfibre cloth. The high pressure high temperature steam got rid of an old red wine stain when the professional equipment failed to, and all without the use of chemicals.

  • Resolve also bleaches out and/or discolors your carpet...dumb bitch

  • she's a stupid bitch

  • WOW....she has no clue what she is talking about.

  • I mean to say clown. People, what is the best cleaning agent in the world...... give up? HEAT! Vinager works very well, BUT boiled water is the key. That's why professionals use steam cleaners. 9 times out of 10 they are using ALL WATER. Maybe a MILD detergant but NEVER soap. Always a powder base, carpet dries from the bottom up, a powder base starts as a powder and dries as a powder. If you can't afford a pro. Boil water, and DAB at stains NEVER scrub!

  • I am a professional carpet cleaner. Never use spot removers!!!! This lady is a joke!!! Resolve, ANY spot remover contains soap, why would you use soap... and never rinse it? That's like washing your hair without rinsing it, it gets STICKY WHICH ATTRACTS DIRT. NEVER USE A BRUSH!!!!! You're just grinding dirt INTO your carpet fibers, not only that but spot cleaners will attract more dirt and SET STAINS IN because of it's high PH levels. People, don't listen to this clean. VINEGEAR AND WARM!!!

  • @fitzpathic17 you are so right! Never tried Vinegar, will have to try that I use a bit of fabric sofner smells awesome and breaks up the soap from other peoples cleaners. Vinegar is awesome as it takes out bad smells.

  • @fitzpathic17 thanks for taking the time to share your wisdom :)

  • @fitzpathic17 how would a person clean carpet then need the help :/

  • @fitzpathic17 this is preparation for steam cleaning so it will be rinsed.

  • Visit steam-cleaning'org to learn more about steam cleaning and view specially priced steam

cleaners. YouTube doesn't like web addresses in it's comment boxes. The hyphen is a part of the website name.

  • actually people i use resolve for real tough pet stains and i simply spray it on the carpet and sometimes i dnt even scrub because resolve does it all.

  • this is stupid advice, not all carpet fibres are the same, go to a pro who knows what he is doing look up your local certified carpet cleaner, i often have to tell a customer the stain is "set" because they have used the wrong product on it

  • Actually certified carpet cleaner or not the kind of fiber or carpet being worked on could or could not cause damage.

For instance a low piled olefiin or indoor out door probably wouldnt be hurt by the brush. A plush Nylon probably would fray and fuzz the tips.

Just dont use bissel soap! go to a janitorial supply rent a better extractor and buy formula 90 or dry slurry to rinse the carpet with. drying time probably 12-24 hours with out fans. or use a professional truck mount dries in 1-2 hrs.

  • wont a that brush that shes using like rip out the thread and stuff in your carpet cause that brush looked really scrachy

  • Won't a brush thin down the carpet?

  • Stupid advice

  • My carpet is really dirty so this made me laugh...sorry but this would not help me at all!

  • your proof that the public are not all stupid, go to a professional carpet cleaner

  • I love seeing people grinding the spot into the carpet, good info from expert village on how to ruin your carpet.......

  • ohh, did i touch a sensitive spot on you? lol Im IICRC cert. so I like to try and help people by not listening to this horrible advice. do you even know what IICRC is? Are you related to expert village? if so, let me get your contact info and ill tell you guys real carpet cleaning advice. SAVE THE CARPET, DONT LISTEN TO EXPERT VILLAGE!!!!

  • uummm . . . what is the IIRC?

  • sorry but one site says never scrub then i click on this one and it says scrub which one is it ??? why also do we get knobs on here calling people faggots and bitch,s,bit sour for a cleaning vid, saddo,s

  • Resolve bleaches your carpet?? sweet! my carpet is white.

  • RESOLVE? What a joke. Those spots are going to be HUGE with all that soap for the dirt to stick to!!!

  • What a joke. Expert village? You hilljacks need to get a clue. I'll take on expert village any time, anywhere, any carpet.

  • my dads a crpet cleaner and these portables our rubbish

  • Resolve? keep using it, and you'll be calling me to dye your carpet. I run a carpet dyeing company and I constantly get calls from customers bleeching out the color in thier carpet from "Resolve".

Don't use any of those specialty products!!!!!

But then again maybe I should encourage you, that's more work for me. This lady has no idea what she's talking about. I think she just wants to be on YOUTUBE.

  • i am seeing a-lot of jobs with resolve leaving any color carpets with with white spots, they should stop selling that junk..class action lawsuit anyone?

  • Red ONE is the new good stuff for SYNTHETIC dye stains, Stain Magic for organic dyes and SOME synthetic. As far a nail polish, your screwed unless you cut it out or call a professional. Removing nail polish CAN possible delaminate your carpet in that area but its either a small bubble in your carpet or the stain, your choice. I am a Master Cleaner IIRC certified, DuPont certified, and make good money servicing the 3rd largest investment in your home. DO NOT SKIMP on carpet cleaning! Any Qs?

  • i got nail polish all over my carpet! how do i get it out!!!!

    please help!!!

(PS. I have a steam cleaner)

  • google "biotrauma cleanup" for carpet stains you dont want to clean yourself.

  • i worked at stanley steemer like i said before stanley techs suck you can't even get a red dye out! it's called a heat transfer idiot work for someone else make more money and really learn the trade heads up deadly265. i did and now i'm in buisness on my own for more than 10 years get certified.

  • deadly265 your so full of it the best choice you can make is to choose a certified independent owner operator because he wants to keep his customers and will do the best job possible, big name co. send employee on comission 3 jobs to make their day.

  • Best way to get rid of spots is to call a professional.

Use the bigger named people. Not independents

Spot treating and cleaning carpets in home can cause more damage than you'd think..

You can cause Mold, Mildew, de-lamination, Pile-reversal, Pile Un-twisting, Migrating or colors, Wood stains from furnature...

    Lot's of damage can occur.

Be-carful out there. use directions properly, and always clean a room Twice.

Once with water, Once with suction.

  • And.. that wasn't a light mist..

Be-carful with spotters.. You can de-laminate your carpet over time with use..

  • Red marker? what's the brand name. What Is it's PH level?

( Use an Indicator strip to find out, add water to the stain and place strip on the stain to reveal PH)

Red is a tuff stain.. Usually with Us( stanly-steemer ) It's impossible.

Depending on the type of marker, perminant, wash-able.. Depends if it can even come out or not.

Use Message system to Mail me questions.

  • Hello Deadly265. I have a red marker stain on my carpet! Cannot seem to get it out. any suggestions! thanks.

  • i'ts called red relief buy it at your nearest janitorial supply foloww diretions use white terry towel and iron wet towel place iron on top of towell and walla check it out!

  • Resolve is horrible. It does NOT produce any good effects. It has optical brighteners "Bleech" which will lighten the carpet

ALSO MOST MANUFACTUERS WONT TELL YOU BUT YOUR WARRANTY IS GONE AFTER YOU SPOT TREAT.

I work for stanley steemer, Certified and Experianced. Msg me for any questions. this lady has NO idea how to take care of spots. using a brush to abraise the carpet and wear it down.

  • I have a red marker stain in my tan carpet. Anyway to get this out! I've tried this oxy clean stuff and didn't work. Please help me!

  • try at your own risk but it;s better to use a certified pro

  • Black light is a good method for identifying urine/fecal stains. All you do is darken the room and shaine a black light over the carpet area. Urine stains will appear as a dull yellow color (not bright white). Then apply urine stain remover to the areas followed by enzyme treatment.

  • You can actually set stains by using so called spot removers. The best thing to do is leave it alone and call in a professional carpet cleaner.

  • Hi Diane, I have a question. Why does resolve turn carpet a different color?

  • Like I said before it bleaches out the carpet. See on the container where it says to test in a incospicuous area? Todays carpets have to be cleaned by a IICRC carpet cleaning company to protect there warranties.

  • Wow...I'm glad I read your comment! I was ready to go purchase some resolve and get to scrubbing. My boarder stepped in cat poop outside and tracked it all through my living room and up the stairs. ...nice, huh?

  • I'm IICRC Certified..

carpet warranties don't protect against much.

    Manufactuers wont tell you this..

You MIGHT be protected against water stains.. that's about it.

  • Hello Diane, great video. I have a question for you. I have white carpet in my hallway that is really really dirty, almost the color of dark gray. On my blue carpet in the basement, I used Clorox to clean the spots and they're all gone. Will that work for the white carpet safely?

  • You just showed the public how to void there warranty of the carpet by using Resolve. I run across bleached out carpet by Resolve all the time. Leave this stuff for the pros.
