  • Does the camcorder have any mounting holes on it for like a camera rig or something

  • actual camera at 2:20

  • I have this camera. It's not the best quality picture but because it's so small I take it everywhere. I had the cx500v which had a better image and nightshot but it was bigger and I always just left it at home. I do miss optical steadyshot.

  • It was already opended :)

  • 1.Can you take a photos with that camera or you can just record a video.

2.How can that camera have 3.0 megapixel???It's HD!

3.What was the price of that camera?

    P.S.Sorry 4 bad English.Not my first language

  • @PrcoorcP 1. Yes, but they're just small 3 megapixel stills. This camera can also take stills during videos!

    2. See above

    3. I think it's down to $350 (USD) in most places.

P.S. Trust me, your English is fantastic compared to my second language (Spanish).

  • @TheElevatorChannel would it be good for makeing bmx videos?

  • Using one camcorder to view another camcorder. It's like camrcorderception.

  • I have an important question here, i bought a nightvision/IR light that you use with a camcorder at night for nightvision. some sony cameras have a nightshot or night vision mode. does this have that mode?

  • is it a good cam??

  • you should see the dsi manual!

  • Does this camera have a 37mm thread for attaching lenses? Or even a thread at all? If so, is it one of the sizes a lenses adapter rings would have?

  • i have the next model up(hdr-cx150) the only difference is that it has an internal memory and a couple unnecsacery features.

  • Apple sticker on pc??? Wtf

  • Can you do a video as to how to set the HDR-CX110 up as a webcam?

  • Comment removed

  • when u say this camera has about 2 hours of battery life does it still loose battery if its not on?????? cause i have had a camera tht did tht

  • Hey man I have a question please respond..I just bought this camcorder today and im trying to import the videos on my computer im using a Imac and the videos that I recorded on the camcorder don't appear on iPhoto only the pictures can u tell me how did u do it or do u have to put a setting..please anyone help

  • @ThePapiGfunk I don't know if you already figured how to import your videos to your Mac, but the way I do it on my macbook is having opened iMovie, connect the camcorder with the usb that came with it and press in the camcorder's screen usb connect. After that iMovie will automatically recognize the camera and its videos. I haven't checked iPhoto for importing videos, only pictures. So I guess you could try out iMovie better...

  • @ultranimator yea man I figure that out..thanks though I appreciate the reply

  • Can you attach a fisheye ?

  • @scaredsk8er yes. it takes a 30MM lens

  • @gmantoys whats your problem amigo..?dont you understand the meaning of 'unboxing'?WHAT A DOUCHEBAG.....

  • @gmantoys lol you fail kid

  • Hey did this camera auto-focus ???

  • @ReviewEpic of course!

  • you have an Apple sticker on a PC...

  • Why u search for it u are dumb!

  • I was debating on the Sony HDR-CX110 or the Sony HDR-CX100.

It seems the new Sony HDR-CX100's are more expensive then the new Sony HDR-CX110's.

Does this have a standard definition mode? I imagine so, and I would like to assume its 720x480?

  • @gmantoys LOL! What were you expecting me to do when you read the title?

  • @TheElevatorChannel welll for the record im glad u did this unboxing. i was wondering if it came with the usb transfer cable. so thank you. dont listen to the haters

  • as fast as I saw what you did with the apple sticker I did the same... but better...

  • Does this camera record at 720p (progressive) videos?

    And nice review.

  • doesnt full hd mean 1080p? not 1080i?

  • @l3g3nds540 1080p.

  • what do you use instead of the Picture Motion Browser. I have one and I have to use it because we have Windows xp.

  • @theliftchannel I just put the SD card in my card reader and organize the files myself.

  • As an actor myself, i can tell you that you have a very good "voice over" voice lol :-p

  • you have big pockets...

  • @TheNoToRiOuSbc It's more compact than it looks. Given, it's not something I would always like to have in my pocket all of the time, but it's still easy to carry to special events.

  • Do you think that the Sony camcorder line have motor noises when they either zoom or focus? If you can, tell me why it happens?

  • What a nice Apple computer do you have there!

  • Huge? Look up on Google a JVC GY X2, now thats a knife mate! lol

  • big battery? ha! that's very small compared to my handycam from 1999

  • @thecooldude9999 I was just comparing it to my digital camera. I had an old Hitachi camcorder from 2001 that had a battery 3 times as big.

  • @TheElevatorChannel yeah i was sorta joking

  • Looks like a nice camera, can't wait to see videos from it!

  • I have one of the original Handycam HD models. It's HUGE compared to yours! :)

Don't get confused about battery size -vs- life span. SONY usually ships a mediocre-life one, and you have to buy a good one (like I did. I bought a 3-hour one, included one is only good for 90 minutes). Typical SONY fasion, auto focus is craptacular, and there's noticable Fish-Eye (You'll notice both still, most likely). Hopefully, it'll treat you well.

  • @georgef551 I've done some extensive video tests with it, so far this seems to break the Sony focusing trend, but we'll see :) Battery seems to have about a 2 and a half hour life span.

  • @TheElevatorChannel

    Hmm. Interresting.

How's the Fish-Eye? From what I've seen from others, it's got worse. Don't know if Handycam's follow that trend.

  • @georgef551 I haven't noticed any problem with it, but I wasn't really looking. The biggest annoyance with all of these HD Camcorders (Sony, JVC, Casio, Panasonic, ect.) is that they shoot in AVCHD format. This is a .MTS file that isn't exactly widely accepted. YouTube just began support for this format about a month ago. It's been around since 2006. The only media player I know of that will open these things is VLC.

  • @TheElevatorChannel

Fish-Eye isn't a "problem", it's distortion in straight lines on close objects. Almost every camera does it to some degree. MusicFreakCC's camera does it real bad.

Odd, my Corel VideoStudio x3 saves ADVHD as MPEG2's, so it's what SONY decided to use for a file, rather than simplky being ADVHD. They could've used MP4's for that as well, being that's what Flip uses for it's ADVHD formatted files.

  • @georgef551 Oops, wrong account. Anyway, hope you got the message :)

  • @TheElevatorChannel

    What message?

    (Probably answers your question....)

  • @georgef551 What I said was that I thought "fish eye" meant that the sides of the video were curved slightly due to the lens. Guess I learned something new today :)

  • @TheElevatorChannel

Yes, that's what Fish-Eye is. Hope yours doesn't do it as bad as Dieselducy's, or worse, Connor's.

  • Nice Handy camcorder too bad you have a refund on the fujifilm, but my Sony TX1 is always the best camera/camcorder
