I've had mine pierced for about six months now, it's still red but I clean it everyday but I wanted to change it but no matter how hard i try it wont come off, the top ball wont come off, it's like the pieced ether tightened it way to tight or the threading is damaged inside.

I have had my belly button pierced for 4 months going on 5 htis month on the 30th. Since i got it done on May 30th. Any ways how i clean it is i boiled 1/4 tsp of sea salt non iodized in 8oz of water. Then i wait until the water cool down & i pour the water into a spray bottle. & I spray the sea salt water on my piercing once a day maybe 2 if i have the time to. I still have crust forming on my ring i was wondering when would it be fully heal & when can i change it to one that dangles.Thanks.

maybe it was red and irritated because you were changing it and it clearly wasn't healed? Not trying to be rude or anything, it sometimes takes a year or more to completely heal, and that's when you should change your jewelry. Not when it's still red.

primarily when you do a piercing, avoid contact with sea water and saliva! then use the healing water with salt in a glass and put the piercing, 10 minutes a day and use calming "baneocin." or "kanamycin" etc..! good luck

@jam63jam. i wouldn't worry. i have had mine done now for bout 10/11 months, and truthfully, it only stung a little when i got it done. There is no need to be scared, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being painful) i would rate it about a 3 or 4. It is done very quick and fast, and if you are still scared, have them numb it for you before you get it done, but that is completley un-nessacary. i think that you should get it done :) hope that helped and good luck!

it prolly took awhile to show up or one time when u changed it the external threading scraped the inside. It shouldnt be infected tho. Dont change it for 2 weeks and keep cleaning it. I actually dont have my nose pierced, but I know a TON about it. Do you have a question?

that usually happens the first time. Try again and make sure your hands are dry and you have a good grip on the bottom ball. Remember: righty tighty, lefty loosey, lol. Maybe that will help. Just keep trying a couple more times. If all else fails, go to your piercer to have him take it off. They have special gloves with grippers that are better than normal flesh.

Nah mine does it all the time, I have been having mine for 2 years now. So, it shouldn't hurt anything, Once it is fully healed you will be able to pull @ it and things like that, I can flip my barbell all the way around so it isn't anything to really be worried about :)
