This one definitely does not fit your overall impression of "pageant girl". She is a pre-med student in one of the best colleges in the South on full scholarship. She is also working on a double major in piano performance as well. Take a look at the Youtube video of her playing the Tchaikowski piano concerto 1. Although the typical Miss USA contestant is mostly T&A, the Miss America contestants are about substance as well as looks. By the way, nice to see a decent post on here for a change.

Music is important to Amanda but after several visits to St Jude Children's hospital and she was very touched by what she witnessed there. Her career goal is to become a Pediatric Oncologist and work at a Children's Hosital. She has given concerts to raise money for St Jude and CMN. So far she has raised close to $30,000. Most of the videos I have posted are from her benefit concerts.
