Ran this at the same time as the Glee/Rachel's version. Guys, honestly, it's closer than you think. Rachel just sang on a different pitch with some slight melodic variation. But the beat, instruments, heck even the backup are the same.

For a good example, run the two bridges of the two songs at the same time. The difference is notice-able, but definitely not as deviated from the original as people are saying.
