Yes Jesus has tender mercy for the money-changers in the temple. Yes Jesus tried to redeem us through his suffering but he cannot remove the responsibility of men. To do so would be immoral.
'My God, why hast thou forsaken me?' Obviously because God wasn't there to begin with. Christ's crucifixion should be evidence of that. Christ's resurrection, questionable as it is, was not necessary if there were a just and loving God.
