@steverulezd00d Oh no,,, part of the fun is introducing the young ones to Hendrix.
I recently had a guitar student; a 16 year old girl who'd never hear of Hendrix (I'm 50, BTW, and remember when he died). I loaned her a few DVDs (Woodstock and Berkley) and she was blown away! She's a BIG Hendrix fan now; and studies his music.
A song of timeless beauty... Jimi showing his soul, a true artist and musician that expressed what was within himself.
All the Jay-Z's and Beyonce's of the world, with all your bank accounts, you can't even tie the shoe laces of this man, and with all your luxuries can only give self-aggrandizing excrement to this world... You can't even come close, all your money will never enable you to reach the beautiful inner realm of this musical soul.
jimi said it best, a musician if he is a messenger is like a child who hasn't had to many fingerprints put on him, thats why music is heavier than anything you have ever felt. Well said James Marshal well said! P.S. even though you died the year I was born I miss you every single day! I love you jimi!
as i see everybody already talked all possible about the music n hendrix - i sure agree w all but i like to say also that this vid is a jewel of a fan in the way it was made! if we consider him a god then this nice work here turns our faith alive! congratulations , powdered clouds...
OHHH MYYYY GOOOODDDDD!!!!! This is the most BEAUTIFUL song EVER!!!! I love the nasty cutting lead guitar sprinkled throughout the entire song with the warm toned melody. Just coexisting with each other to for this beautiful piece of ART!
OHHH MYYYY GOOOODDDDD!!!!! This is the most BEAUTIFUL song EVER!!!! I love the nasty cutting lead guitar sprinkled throughout the entire with the warm toned melody. Just coexisting with each other to for this beautiful piece of ART!
of course when people wake up to life and electric music many will find that
Jimi paved the way , a true visionary , creator of beautiful music, and beauty is timeless. the lyrical rhythm guitar tracks on this song have always amazed me .
and the depth and richness of a very simple lead riff . gorgeous.
wow .... i just gotta say.... when i first did acid i saw this video.... and wow... everytime i watch it now... i get goosebumps...... the lyrics to me when i was on it... told me that Hendrix was waiting for me to be on it...... so deep man..... golden rose......... its the golden rose.... thats lsd....... shit that trippy chromatic part is so good... i love this ......
MERRY CHRISTMAS JAMES MARSHALL HENDRIX 1942-1970... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE HENDRIX FANS AND TO WHO EVER LOST THERE HENDRIX PROFILE TO THE CORRUPT YOUTUBE I THANK YOU FOR POSTING GREAT VIDEOS!!
This is such a beautiful song. A lot of young people listen to good music, not enough, but quite a handful. It's becoming more popular. Good shall overcome modern trash!
@cometblazt Are you trying to say this can be 1 up'd? Being the perfectionist Hendrix was I'm pretty sure this song is meant to sound precisely the way it does now.
When I first heard cuts off Axis (on a progressive AM station out of Tampa), I ran out and bought the first copy I could find--a MONO version! Different mix than the stereo version, and wish I had kept it. Rainy Wish was, and remains one of my absolute favorite Hendrix tunes for many, many reasons. A dream-based song, Hendrix was never more poetic. How he must have worked on the sound with Kramer to get it just right--and all without today's digital ease. Greatness shines through!
i use to listen to this when I was 14 years old back in 74...never listened to it since that time...... recently i heard it...it brought back vivid memories of youthful innocents and the tears followed....
I remember jimi yelling about" i must tell someone about this dream.....power music people.....enchanting
songs like this show just how far jimi was ahead of his time........the places he could hit on the musical spectrum and the human soul have never been matched by a single guitarist/singer in the long and illustrious history of music.......jimi was, is, and will always be a treasure for all of us music lovers and just for mankind as a whole......100 yrs from now we'll all be gone but those alive will listen to and love and appreciate jimi's work just like we all do now
are you sure that 100 years from now those alive will actually appreciate this? it seems to me that people are tuning in to crappier and crappier music with every passing day. i hope people still listen to this 100 years from now, though.
I hope so. In my opinion there's very few bands these days creating music of this level. Jimi Hendrix revolutionised music and the guitar, surely in 100 years time there's at least a few people who recognise that.
Well our generation has a seriously underdog group of youths who listen to rel music, dont worry the music fans listen to music, those who dont care about the soul of music listen to modern excuse for music :D 100% Jimi will live on
@MatthewTheServant I seriously don't see why people listen to modern mainstream music. It sounds to crisp, Overproduced and computerized. To be honest it hurts my ears. It's boring the songs pretty much sound the same. Where's the talent, the raw playing skills that Jimi Hendrix or the other great bands could play? It takes away from my friends' bands who can actually play their instruments and sing.
No doubt one the best Hendrix songs! I can imagine this song playing at some carnivals or fairs and what not back in the 60's . Imagine riding rollercoasters listening to Jimi lol
Absolutely beautiful..play this in a bar and see how many people start to jam! One of his greatest....than I was startled to hear in Ride the Sky...nice! Chris Coles part is my fav!!!
My favorite Jimi Hendrix song, the remix is a masterpiece. If this individuality would've lived without passing prematurely, the contributions would've been endless, and yet still is. Unfortunately being sorrounded with evil management cost him, I truly wished it could've been different. I know his family truly miss him, what a magnificent mind, and charismatic talent.
