@deathmonkey123 theres an early episode where Newman had yet to be introduced, and he's mentioned that he's been threatening to kill himself, and Kramer looks out the window up at him on the roof and starts talking to him and you could tell it was Larry David. Maybe Larry David was originally slated to be Newman. I think in general its a lot better Larry David isn't in the show as a recurring character.
