There is a movie version book called The Dreamers (after the movies title) but it's not the same. In the real book there is more of a homosexual relationship between the two main guys. In the movie it's centered more around Mathews feelings towards Isbella.
i love this movie soo much because this story is like a world where i can just forget everything.. i wish i could be there, i think i was born in the wrong time.. this is a true masterpiece, it's art ,it's unique, it's absolutely perfect. and the actors are amazing too!! thank you bernardo bertolucci! =)
It might help to read the novel the film is based on, 'the holy innocents' or 'the dreamers' it's called in later publications, to understand the storyline. It's a third-person narrative but very helpful to people who can't understand the film.
Then again, I got it the first time I watched the film, and honestly prefer the film ending to the books.

this movie is awesome , god when I saw Eva Greens jugs, men I almost had a fucking harth attack , any way great performances , and I love all the cliché and references to others movies on this film , the music is amazing what else can I say, Bernardo sei un grande, grazie per questo bello film
