We all know the bravery it took for you to "just be who you are". Zack, you are amazing, it is so strange how close you live to me, I am in Minneapolis, MN, and we have protections in our state against firing someone because they are gay. You have helped more people in ND than you think and because of people like you being out, things will eventually change there. Keep strong and being PROUD of who you are!!!

I'm gay and also living in Grand Forks. My friends know but one of my employers doesn't, and that's because I'm pretty sure I would get fired. I hear people say negative things about gay people pretty regularly at work, but I can't afford to not have that job. I was also really upset when the bill failed to pass.
