@DoctorDeo1 My thoughts exactly. Maybe the video producer thought "that bit of bass playing looks great, I'll splice this in here". Is he even playing the same song?
I'm trying to "Google" more stuff on them. I know everyone who's IN the band - Jon Allen, Eddie Piller, Fredrik Ekander, and Marshall Chess - BUT I can't seem to find any more info regarding any other records/albums that went on involving these guys. Can anyone direct me to more information?!?
This is just fantastic, love the vid a real tribute to the 60's when the great funky bands had to contain their groove for fear of upsetting the older viewer
A great sixties soul tribute with a kicking vocal, ruined by a terrible video. The song is a roller coaster of high energy but the video is completely the opposite. Almost subdued, in fact. Very disappointing, but will still keep the song high up the list of music that inspires.
Oh my God I thought this was Duffy's origional but as always when I find something spectacular it's some body doing a cover of an old classic. Awesomeness!
great vocal, it reminds of Steve Winwood singing 'I'm a Man' in The spencer Davis Group. ...and that drum break in the middle will get all the B-boys hyped up to do some breakin. dope.
The actual singer is a talented white guy called Jon Allen. He's currently working as a backing singer on Duffy's new album. This isn't a real band at all - a recording made by session men with some random poseurs pretending to play for a video.
this has more talent and feeling than the majority of modern music in my opinion and i think thats a fair comment, shame this group hasnt got the publicity they deserve!
this Third Degree track hasn't really taken off ...... pity really, was hoping it would make the charts. Oh and the Duffy haters on here are just sad..
Oh, I quite agree!! She's still an "undiscovered" treasure, and as long as Diet Coke doesn't get hold of, and abuse her again, she should have a long and distinguished career ahead of her!!
You are so right on this one 13. HQ black & white vid, great horn section, major soulful. Go Directly To Favs! (and the dancing dame ain't no stinkin' anorexic)
This is about a billion times better than the Duffy dirge. Fabulous.

This is far superior to the original by Duffy. The lead singer has a brilliant voice
and the band is really tight, aided by a great brass section. Easily one of the best records I've heard in years.
