  • its not a prefect translation but good

  • This is why I stayed in french immersion going into high school, because the first time I heard this song, I knew what she was saying.

    I love this song...

  • omg my french teacher played this in class yesterday and we were all like, "oh, this has a nice beat" and trying to mimic the lyrics...i did not expect to discover that this is what the lyrics mean... wow, what was my teacher thinking??? LOL

  • How is this socially acceptable in France? Is it on the radio?? WTF haaa...its a super catchy song though, still love it!

  • @129LANA0heart0 Yes it is ! And I know, it doesn't shock, it's just funny lyrics :) xxx !

  • This is just wrong in many ways...

  • I was skeptical about why the lyrics were so vulgar until I heard girlfriend by TTC. I fully support this song and i'm happy they chose to defend women because they're not all sluts

  • @missfeliz131 Im french, "TTC - girlfriend" is not serious, its humor too... actually girlfriend was made more in a humoristic way than this one... yell was using girlfriend in order to be known... and it worked.

  • @Tyrolfff Oh. I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • @missfeliz131 I love this song, and I love TTC too, I'm french and a girl, because TTC doesn't really mean what they say, it's just funny lyrics, relax :) ..

  • FINALLY. Ive been listening to this song for years without ever bothering to look up the lyrics. As a male, I wish I hadnt...

  • @iammissmel hahahaha I almost had the same situation,but I had luck, I found a translation on time :D

  • heard this song and asked my french teacher to translate it for me :L:L i now know why she gave me a weird look :L

  • Il y a beaucoup d'erreur dans la traduction. Yelle ma petit pute préféré !

  • @iammissmel Lmao! :)

  • oh shit i gotta favorite this XD

  • this is awesome!!!!

i had no clue what she wqas saying haha

  • Oh my god!! For like the past week I've been singing the beat to this with my little sister!!

  • this is the song our jazz dance is to... our parents have no idea........

  • @ladiaaaa8 Yeaah. cuz she can't understand..maybe the 'pornographique' but more not..:PP

  • My french teacher played this in class.

Don't know whether the lyrics or the fact she played it in class is funnier.

  • @MrCodyMZ Oh god..really..she plays a song bout 'fucking'?? Ahaha^^

  • @MrCodyMZ OMG! That's so bad! :D

  • i love how there is so much sexual connotations within this song, and randomly she talks about potatoes and fries. either i'm missing something, or this girl is a freaaaak....

  • @xXTJCounterfeitXx She's a freak. Her other songs are about masturbation and shit. wtf?!

  • I've pumped this out in the car with family, no idea what it meant!!

  • I love how everyone is talking about how they are singing/asking/speaking of this to a friend/teacher who understand french

  • My French teacher played this in school.... hahah I love her xD <3

  • When I saw the part that said "Same Thing" I thought she was literally saying the words "Same Thing" over and over again. Then I thought about how to say "same thing" in French and I was like, "Oh... she's repeating... the....same... thing." -facepalm-

  • When I saw the part that said "Same Thing" was thought she was literally saying the words "Same Thing" over and over again. Then I thought about how to say "same thing" in French and I was like, "Oh... she's repeating... the....same... thing." -facepalm-

  • this song is made to tease prositutes and sluts so they could probably just stop being them, THANK GOD.

  • someone got lazy near the end xD "same thing"

  • i would have never guess?

  • god sake, what are the french like!? they're touring with katy perry that's only why i know them... :S

  • @vintagebarbie8 This song was written to basically say a "fuck you" to the rapper Cuizi for his disregard and disrepect towards women.

  • :D brilliant :D

  • ..........

  • "Same thing"! So lazy!

  • now i know why my dance teacher told us not to look up the english lyrics!/: hahaha. i love this song, but uhh, the lyrics are a LITTLE bit out there.

  • dude i wish there was a "love" button to this

    hahaha

  • What is all the hate for ? hehehe

    Imaginative lyrics :-)

  • Leave it to the French to have a song like this ♥

  • I like the electronica and dance I got to listen to 90's but there is a song with a similarity to that of Yelle, is Nacho Ponce-Short Dick Man, 1994

J'aime la danse electro et je suis à l'écoute de 90, mais il ya une chanson avec une similitude à celle de Yelle, est Nacho Ponce-Short Dick Man, 1994

  • Wow, I've been listening to this song for years and didn't know it was still dirty.

  • C'est une traduction copier-coller Reverso ou quoi ? C'est meme pas de vraies phrases...

Enfin merci qd mm parce que la plupart des anglais comprennent pas que cette chanson taille dur ^^

  • lol

  • pk vous avez mis en englais ?

  • OH MY GOD, THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! i was just about to ask my TEACHER to TRANSLATE this for ME, haha, how surprised she would have been!

  • the lyrics aren't correct. Some are but most are not. good try. not bad translation but not the best.

  • @ZameMater Wrong!!!

  • I THOUGHT THIS WAS ABOUT A CLUB BEFORE PORNO FILM AND COCK!!!!!

  • love it even more now i know the words

  • i'm loling at peope who think this is innocent.ROFL

  • this was my favrite song now im rethinking it

  • what the-nevermind. . o.O

  • whew ... messed up the lyrics, Safounox.

Even for someone, who cannot speak french sentences except for "je ne parle pas francais" or similar, it is obvious, that these translations must be twisted, because they are lacking sense ...

i have looked up the comments posted recently ... now i see, what it is about.

  • God, I love how clever she is.

  • Die englischen lyrics sind wirklich schlecht übersetzt!!!!

  • these french perves...

  • LOLWHATTHEFUCK?

  • je kiff cette chanson, jsais pas pk xD

  • the lyrics are completly incorrect lol we had to learn a frensh song for a egsam a girl in my year sang that its about loveing posions not sex posions lol xxx

  • @KaylaisHaute Safounox has the correct translation, I'm fluent in both English and French. These aren't litteral translations, keep in mind, but rather to get the meaning across for people speaking English.

  • Then we girls wandered" should be "Okay, girls, let's go"

"We wanted to see their pecs" should be "We wanted to see SOME pecs"

    And FINALLY:

"All these hairdressers like me who know you're only worth a hair" should be "All these girls who think like me (lit: with hairdos like mine) who knows what you're worth naked." "à poil" means "naked."

Thank you for trying, do better next time.

This has been the YouTube pedant. Until next time.

  • "it'll limit the bastard acts" should be "It'll limit the damage, bastard"

"You wait for your green card" should be "Your green card is waiting for you"

"This is not lip service" should be "I'm not making it up/I'm not kidding"

  • Lyrics are off.

"Your little sex" should be "your small dick"—"sex" refers to genitalia

"Red curls" should simply be "red hairs," or "red pubes" if you want to get specific

"even if you keep your PJs tight" should be "even if you keep your PJs ON"

"Even if you guard your bathrobe" should be "even if you KEEP your bathrobe ON"

Something's wrong with the bathrobe phrase...I myself am unsure of the exact meaning, but I do know that the word "ringard," "lame/cheesy," was lost in translation

  • O.O"

  • well better than lady gaga yes

  • In french it sounds so great!

And now I know whats the song about! (Y)

  • I knew it was dirty.! without the translations u can kind of understand the words bastard and porno o: xD

  • fikkn

  • @iammissmel my friends and i thought this song was catchy and wanted to tell our teacher to show the class this song, but then (thankfully) we looked up translation and decided not to haha

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. :D THANKS FOR THE TRANSLATION!

  • it's so dirty.....I LOVE IT!!!!! XD

  • im learning french... i know what some of the words mean...

  • ok some of the parts in this song r so innapropeate

  • i dont get what 'tu prends toujours le metro' has anything to do with the other lyrics lol, but im not french, just do it in school, so maybe you always take the train has a double meaning...

  • @smileycheerer

it is a ridiculous paradoxe because he dreams about a big yellow hummer, but, in real life he doesn't have licence to drive then just can travel in tub everyday= he is a looser.

  • @Sijeveu oooh lol :)

    are you french

  • @smileycheerer

damned!!!you found so easily!!!is my english so bad?? =p lol

  • @Sijeveu haha no, it's just you know french really well lol :)

    j'adore le francais :)

    ais this sentance correct:

c'etait la meilleure livre que j'aie jamais lu?

  • @smileycheerer

oh, that's great!!! it seems to be difficult to listen as foreign language... I think I couln't learn french if it wasn't my maternal language...=)

in fact, you should write: c'était LE meilleur livre...etc.

the subjonctive form is really good!

    so...which book is it?

  • Metro = Subway/tube/underground thingy.

  • ne rien orgasmique? vous devriez essayer plus fort!

  • OMG, Hahaha we watched this in Francis Class in my school and i thought i'd look up the song in english, and this is what it means i guess.

  • are this the real subtitles? wahaha

  • Yeah, this song is not disgusting. It's a response to TTC's song Girlfriend, which basically says how good these guys are in bed and that all girls are sluts.

I love Yelle, and after you go listen to TTC, you'll love this song too.

  • i like both yelle n ttc,but i didnt know this was a reply to them.....thanks that actually makes much more sence now...i love this song :PPP

  • lol i wish i'd unsterstand it without lyrics but me french is so bad

je ne parle pas francais bonne <<<lol i guess it's wrong xD i study french for 2 years but i don't speak a word xD

  • The lyrics are very... jolly xD

  • pop yelle. <33

  • For non-french people ... Yelle is always singing trashy lyrics ... The beats are cool but the lyrics are trash =)

That's probably the reason why she meets a bigger succes abroad :p

  • Very dirty :L

i introduced myself to french music, well mostly pop while in my first year of secondary school and dis is the dirtest song i've ever heard but i love it :L

  • omg its so dirty lol

  • @danana1124 wow no its not lol

  • love this song love french pop

  • what does the name of the song mean in english?

  • it means "I want to see you" :)

  • I want to look at you

  • i want to see you

  • Lyrics are good, I speak french as native language... a couple errors..

and Cuizi is a signer that insulted girls in his song "Girl friend" and she responded with this.. xD

  • LOL i understood Cuizi what is your favorite position when i wasnt look at the lyrics and i busted out laughing

  • lmao at the lyrics xD

  • No, the lyrics are the real ones; I speak french and english, and this translation is correct.

  • Well, if you were a native French speaker, you would totally know the lyrics are wrong. I'm not here to argue, but honestly, those lyrics are off. A few examples:

    cuisinier = cook (not singer)

    crois = believe (not understand)

    garde = keep (not guard)

    dégâts = damage (not acts)

And this is just the first verse, I could go on and on.

  • Idoit Cuizinier is the singer. Crois= Believe... THATS WHAT HE SAID

  • Oh yeah Cuizinier lol, didn't know him, my mistake. And I was talking about the second crois. Somehow the first crois is fine, but not the second one. And please, I was just giving examples. If you're going to lose your time arguing with a French-speaker about his first language, then I don't think I'm not the idiot one, now am I? ;-)

  • @thewisedragon16

i'm not a native french speaker but even i was able to spot some of the mistakes (too!)

but i still like the song, i don't care how dirty it is.

  • @Safounox I think in the first verse, instead of sex, it's penis.

    jussssayinnnnnn

  • @JekaReezy "sex" is another word for clit, or vagina, depending on how you wanna use it.

  • @Safounox no they arent. i speak french. and where u said "shape potatoes and fries" isnt right. the actual translation is "in good shape and form"

  • @Safounox why do you have avec and with in the title?

  • @Safounox It's really not the right translation :P

  • @Safounox i am french and english to but there are still things that are uncorect XD

  • @luluzviminda *incorrect

  • It's most certainly the correct lyrics.

  • @thewisedragon16 not that they are way off french is just alot less harsher then english soo yeah so translations get messed up alot i speak french nativly and english secondly

  • @thewisedragon16

    FAIL!

  • @MachinistakaxERo

Look, French is my first language and I'm starting my third year in Translation so I think I know what I'm talking about ;).

  • @thewisedragon16

I cant really see any errors in it, though i havent spoken french in a long time

  • @thewisedragon16 yeah that is right cuz i saw an ofical video with subtiles and thats it soo

  • so freakin wrong

good thing its in french lol

  • woh wen i seen the lyrics i was like yuck lol

  • loads of mistakes, that translation sucks sorry to say that

  • i have no idea...lol...but its funny...

  • For all of you who are amazed by the lyrics, that's nothing compared to the songs she responds to. (TTC-Girlfriend & Sale pute)

  • i love the little note after "crunk". :p (crazy drunk), hahah

  • omg ich wusste gar nicht das der text soooo pervers ist naja das kann ja auch nur den Franzosen einfallen XD

  • hahah wusste ich auch nicht bis ich halt mit dem englishen gelesen hab :D
