In Excel 2007, I don't have a dialogue box (like yours) for conditional formatting. Now that I want to delete the formatting we did in last tutorial, the only option is to clear format for chosen cells. It worked for some of them but not all !!!

This week I began an 'Excel for Beginners' ) local borough course (2 hrs x 10 weeks. They taught us how to insert and delete rows and columns in Week 1 (2 hrs!!)

Next day I found you on youtube. In the first 9 minutes you probably got me to Week 5!

I strongly urge people seeking this IT knowledge to USE MOTION TRAINING.

Thank you very much for the informative videos, I have a quick question when I go to make a change on a spreadsheet, such as changing the count for the Fred's Video Classics sheet it does not update the income cell in the next column, why is that?

On 3:56, when I change the rentals from 10 to 12, the income doesn't seem to change to 23.40. I have both tried using it on Excel 2007 and Excel for Mac and I experience the same. Hope you could assist me on this.

Thanks for the video, very helpful. Just a quick question: I noticed that if you add another row of information, the conditional formatting does not apply to that new row. Is there anyway to automatically conditional format the new row, or do we have to do it manually?

Hi tangy1212. Yes, it can be done. Click the Tools menu and select Options. Click on the Edit tab and make sure the "Extend list formats and formulas" check box has a tick in it. Once this is done then Excel will include conditional formatting from the previous row as you add new rows of data.
