This was one of my favorites. It took an extremely long amount of time for it to load, and sometimes Peach would peek through the other window instead. It kinda freaked me out when I first discovered this feature, but when I found it, I played almost every Game Boy game on this just to have Mario stare at it ; )
Man, thank you so much for this. I have fond memories of the Super Game Boy, particularly watching the outdoors background grow dark as I completed Kirby's Dreamland (or was that game too short for that to happen?) and my friend messing around with the borders while I played (or vice versa). Now it seems like there's no access to this nifty little gadget. I wonder why its successors failed to incorporate as much or even more functionality. Seems like Nintendo's forgotten all about it.
Yeah, the Game Boy Player for the 'cube was just bare bones compared to the SGB. I would have loved to get GBA games with special borders like GB and GBC games had.
