I don't think that there is a joke about the hedgehog. It's Python being absurd. The whole point about absurd humour is the absence of a punchline. It's just plain silly. Love, Oh Sam Bin Laden, author of 'Alone And Asleep'.

monty python were great but didnt they labour a joke or what ..haaa I mean they didnt know when to quit the joke..nowdays this humour would be still liked but looked on as too dull after the initial joke.Every single sketch just went on and on and on and on and on..same joke repeated.
Times have changed man. People don't have the attention span any more but personally I love it. The Dead Parrot sketch wouldn't really be any good if it didn't have John Cleese harping on about how dead the parrot is. Or, my favorite, the Fish-license sketch.. Or the Cheese Shop.. They need to be that long.

everybody who loves this stuff, they came out with a box of the complete series.... put it on your wishlist for christmas or just buy it.... if you like this kind of stuff you'll get all of it with great quality.
this is not a commercial thing or anything, I'm just so happy I got the fucken thing. it's worth your money.
Oh oh oh!! Can you upload the game show in which John Cleese is the host, and Terry Jones is a pepperpot and one of the answers is Henri Bergson, and a question she doesn't get is "what food do penguins eat"? And also the one about Ewan McTeagle, the famous Scottish poet?
I'm lucky enough to have taped that episode off a telly repeat a few years ago but I've not seen it on here yet. Perhaps it's deemed racist - you'll know the bit I mean!!! Ps is 'lemon curry' milligan or python - definitely familiar...
Yes, Lemoncurry is Python... can't remember the episode, but it's a viking (Terry Gilliam) who cuts in and says "lemoncurry?".
Well fortunately I have the complete Flying Circus on DVD, but I do like to have the odd sketch on my laptop's hardrive, to watch whenever I feel like...
And yes I remember the bit you refer to: "I don't like Darkies!" and the host's answer: "who does?". But surely that would not be deemed racist? I mean neither the pepperpot nor the host are protrayed as role-models or intelligent life-forms or anything like that, right? I think it's mostly that it's not a very famous sketch? Or maybe I'm one of the few who think it's completely hilarious, but maybe it's because I studied Bergson extensively at school, for some reason.
Thanks mate, I do remember that sketch now! I totally agree with your view about the 'racist' content & how cleverly constructed the characters were to relflect what they represented at that time
No, but you probably live in some strange country where standard date nomination gas not yet spread. Not to worry, it's only about a decade since the ISO standard was published. The nomination used here is a legacy form from the standard, as opposed to the official way "Recaroded 1969-06-07."
I wish people would post real comments rather than just reciting lines. We all know the lines and we all know they are funny. I've only got one shed, by the way, but it's a really big shed. You could even call it a barn.
Whats the intro music?
