@candyabble i totally agree with u about the way they always make marty dwell on the rape. yes, i know that rape does scar a person forever, but it's like they forget all the things todd did after like saving her life, and taking several bullets for her beloved patrick. yes, todd was a bastard but i think they just brought sh back to relive the keg house rape over and over again. todd hates himself for what he did in those days, but they don't see that.

@mallen1978 I actually don't care about seeing the "good" in Todd. I prefer him as the bastard that he is. He's much more interesting that way, to me, and its fictional so I don't mind how evil he gets. At least he's dynamic and is allowed to show both an evil side and some anity. With SH as Marty its like they don't know what to do with her if she not talking about rape or being miserable. It started getting boring when she first left with Patrick in the 90's. And its still boring.

@Rosannasfriend the point in my comment was that Susan's best performance was the whole rape storyline...so that's why they keep bringing it up...that's why they wrote the stupid todd/marty faux romance/rape. i don't see what's so great about her. i did watch oltl back in those days...and i looked at clips on youtube from those days and that's all they had marty do since the rape is talk about it, wimper and whine. and i never said she HAD to forgive him.

I'm 23 years old. I started watching when I was in 3rd grade. I was sick at one point for a month or so and started watching right during the Marty Saybrooke rape trial because my sick grandpa would watch all the abc soaps from 12-4. I got hooked.

Because OLTL was so well written and more of a "mystery" as my mom passed it off to my dad (instead of "smut" as he called it) my mom would set the vcr to tape at 2pm every day I was at school.

And now I do have a job...its called Tivo LOL
