@sonikitty Spot on. Jason worked harder during SM3 time on his songwriting as he had Sonic to compete and compare with, they were as you said a band. That said the 1st Spiritualized LP is the equal of his SM3 work - it is almost Recurring part 2 - as he had something to prove both to himself and to Sonic. The second album was only half as good as he became obsessed with production and songs were secondary. I saw them in Belfast in 95 and they were still amazing live even though I was on acid!

Its called a Audiovox repeat percussion. It ain't made no more, but you can get a replica from Ronsound. Can't remember the name of the new one, but you can find it at the website.
Does he play it through a wah of some sort as well as the repeat percussion?
I looked it up it's called the Ronsound Trem-O-Matic. I'm gonna get one ang go wah-wee-ooh all the way home. I bet I can do loads of Spacemen 3 songs with this effect.
Any other effects you think might help achieve that excellent sound, let me know. I love effects pedals. Hides what a crap guitarist I am.
