i got a monster movie quiz for you guys witch of the following actors did not star in 1941's The Wolfman? claude Reins,Lon Chaney Jr,Borris Karloff,Bela lagoshi (sorry if i spelt any of the names wrong)
I'll take a guess - Boris Karloff? Bob Wilkins was a great guy - met him in person as a wee lad at a Star Trek convention in Oakland. Miss his show. Ah the memories.
Dan Faris is my uncle! Holy crow, he would flip if he saw this. I never got to meet Bob, but I did get to meet John Stanley a few times. Whatta guy! Both my uncle and John said the best things about Bob Wilkins.
I have soooo many great memories of Bob, Creature Feature, Captian Cosmic.....Saturday nights were never the same after Bob and John went off the air! God bless Bob and his family.
Commanders Tim and Ben (me), made many appearances on Creatures Features and Captain Cosmic from 1979-1984, promoting our Electronic toy store Star Base Central.
As a kid, I LOVED Bob Wilkins. Thanks for the memories, Bob! Lots of nights hiding under my blankets, because EVERYONE KNOWS monsters can't getcha under the blankets.
Bob influence my own TV career. And I echo a part of this very show on my latest video.
"Hi kids!" I'm sad to say Bob Wilkins has Alzheimer's. You can help him by googling "BOB WILKINS ALZHEIMER'S FUND" and contributing to the fund via PayPal. Thanks for helping our friend Bob!
I was a Bob Willkins fan since Seven Arts Theater on KCRA TV in Sacramento. I watched every Saturday night from 66-76. I even picked up Creature Features on the rotor antennae from the Bay Area in the early 70's too at times. Sorry I missed the Captain Cosmic thing after I left the state in mid 76. Bob's show was a special treat on Saturday nights. Boy those were the days.
When I was little, I remember being terribly upset when I found out John Stanely took over Creature Features. After I saw that segment on Phantasm he did in 79, interviewing the director and the "Tall Man" in the back of a hearse, I knew he was OK!
John Stanley was on Coast To Coast AM a few months ago, and I'm thinking... cool, a good 3 hr interview cover this whole time period. Then I fell asleep about 10 min into it!
@megobatman lucky you

Bob Wilkins made my childhood special. I sure do miss being young and watching Creature Features with a big bowl of popcorn.

5lbs of sugar. $45? Must have been a Very Special Delivery from Crockett? Where's the Kool-Aide?

5lbs of sugar went for $45! How the heck did you even afford rent back then Mr. Wilkins!
This was a very funny segment and gave me a great look at a generation I missed.
