@656watever Strumming all or only some of the strings can change the sound. Or maybe you're hearing the difference between him strumming up and him strumming down? I know that when I was first learning i was stubborn to strum up. I played everything strumming down and I'll tell you, as soon as i started strumming up it sounded so much better! it does make the chord sound slightly different in some cases. Is that what you are referring to? If not, I'm sorry. :)

Hi, This is Max I'm a beginner in Guitar.I have a funny problem when I try to sing along with the guitar my strumming pattern changes as per the lyrics.

Instead of the defined strumming pattern I strum it as per song lyrics.But I don't sing along I play just fine.

An y suggestion to fix this is appreciated

@maxmaveric practice the chord prgression without singling till you can do it without thinking, even try talking to someone like a normal conversation while strumming and then throw in the lyrics and practice that always helps me(and im pretty white and rythemless FYI lol)

you don't have to use one, however if you wish to play in the original key you will have to manually tune the string to that key.

When I'm listening to you play the first verse of the song you play- D, Dm7, D7,D,Dm7,D7,G then it goes in to the chorus but when you're saying how to do it later you say the verse is D, Dm7,D7,Dm7 (repeat this) and then play D, Dm7,D7,G.

Am I missing something as no-one else has said anything?
