i`m a thirteen year old trombone player and this kids nothing special his music is simplistic if you have noticed but he does have a firm grip on dianamics but should not but young musician of the year

@MrNickphilly Rubbish! What do you know about Pete? He's not only brilliant for his age, he's also one of the most talented young musicians in the country! Does "nothing special" get a Grade 8 at 10, go to Chetham's School of Music since they were 8 or 9 years old, and get into the National Youth Orchestra at 13? As a TROMBONE player? When I was Pete's age I'd barely done my Grade 3! I don't want to be harsh on you, but please don't make such sweeping statements about Pete.

As a professional trombonist who has been around for quite some time, I can honestly say that I've never heard a young trombonist with such a refined musical sense. This piece is actually much more difficult than you may realize. No super technical passages, but to play with intonation as good as this as well as the time and subtlety of his performance is really aquite remarkable! I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you buddy.

@MrNickphilly Simplistic? He's playing a concerto with an orchestra! You need more than dynamics (that's how it's spelt by the way) to play with an orchestra. Anyone can get grade 8... It takes talent to be a musician.

My friend said to me the day after this competition : "You know, you could have played that 10 times better than Peter Moore". I listened to his performance, and said back, "You've got it the wrong way around, this young guy is something else." What a performer this young guy is.
