Had no idea that Roxy music did this song until now - It is a superb number and just wish that I had known about this one. Gene is more reflective about his professional capacity in this video so shows that he has a deep conscience despite the tough and rough of him.

Wonderful image mix, and this song is cool. I remember the 1981 scene, or at least my take on it, when I was in my mid 20s. I was already well into electro synthesiser type stuff by 1981, so of course I think that this track is cool. It's a long walk to 2011, metaphorically speaking.

It was a credits theme in series 1 and I think it was also used as background music on a few occasions. Aside from the title song I think this pops up more than any other, certainly in the first series.

Oh dear a very rose tainted view of a decade where the industrial heart of Britain was ripped out. It was thanks to Thatcher that we have been so gripped by the recent recession. Had Britain has not placed it's eggs in the one basket, then we would not have been hit so hard by the credit crunch.

Thatcherism had it's pluses, but more minuses. I suspect that you were not around to comprehend them, as you are no doubt very young or deluded.
