the first time i watched this movie... was when i was in year seven. i was a massive action packed only kind of kid. but after watching it again ( noting else to watch ) i got a better understanding of the movie. so yet again i watched it and so forth an so on. now. iv watched it 6 times since it has come out and i completely understand the whole movie. cant get enough, hope they make a sequal somehow. looove it =)

There is fascism in this movie. What Adam Sutler is doing is fascism. You can understand this by listening to speech of the ex-general guy doing on the TV at the very beginning of the movie. The movie has nothing to do with Party, It deals with people giving up there rights, freedom, liberty so the goverment is the only answer to your needs.

They gain power by dividing people up, Then cause the problem "Fear" so they can get the people to go along with them. They will take away your right's one at a time, till one day you wake up and have none. and all it requires is your blind obedience to look the other way.

Actually, I don't think the film had a specific message (the directors have said so). However, the book was way more about anarchy. They had a few sections flat out saying he thought anarchy was a good thing. Although, it made arguements for and against both fascism and anarchy because if you are to truly make up your mind on something like that, you should understand both sides. You'd have to read the book to fully understand.
