Hey man, i just got myself a Yamaha PSR-E423 keyboard and i would love if you could hook me up with a sick sound like this.

@wwescsazz Oops, it's the x5. You should be able to use the settings he gives to create a good lead regardless of your model though. All leads follow a similar kind of pattern, you just might need to tweak it a bit.

Hey, what is the difference between russian and american big muff ?

I'm gonna by a one and I should know... Is that true that russian muff is out of of production or what ?

@M3L0D1CM4N I would go with an american big muff. I've seen alot of people say that the USA muff has a fatter tone while the tone of the russian made muff's is generally crappy and thin.

@TheInvalidChronicles I used a Big Muff distortion pedal, but if your keyboard has onboard distortion, that might work.

The voice/waveform I used was SynthReed. It's under INT-B 025(SynthReed).

This isn't a sock patch like the others you hear, it has to be either created or downloaded. If don't feel you can make it, you're welcome to have my emulation, send me a message. You will need a distortion pedal though.

Ya, but he only hooks it up to one synth, and only turns it on when he's using the lead patch. Most modern synths don't need a pedal, but the distortion on the JV sucks compared to the Big Muff.

ohhhh nice! i've always feared to connect a guitar pedal to my keyboard cause i thought it may overload the electricity or some dumb thing.. yaay!

now i will connect my wah wah to my keys to play reggae and ska with my band and on the other hand the distortion one to play with the metal band! thanx!

btw,i use the korg m1 and legacy on vst, do you know any combi to get some nice strings?janne style? or some cool sounds to download! : )

Warman uses the X5D just as a midi controller so none of the sounds come from the X5D... His lead comes from Roland JV-2080 synth-module and goes through BigMuff-distortion pedal.

Ya, I got it on wicked treble mode right now, but you can easily get back to the earlier version, with a little twist of the tone wheel on the Muff.
