  • Fuckin awesome man....l

  • I REALLY WANT TO GER RID OF MY BLACKBERRY FONE AND SWITCH TO an iPHONE

  • People still use phones like that

  • @quest8899 yeah like your muma

  • 2.0 fixed everything, my browser finally works perfectly...finally, good job rim although it should of been done this way from the start

  • lol this is shit. The "new" features should have been standard in version 1.0. RIM is dead, gone, and dusted

  • @pikken01 stop complaining its not like you have to pay for it. they didn't do this on purpose, they wanted to get the playbook out asap so that blackberry owners and business owners alike could use it. rim had realized that the playbook wasn't at its optimal possibility and they have fixed it. common your being stupid be glad that this did happen and the didn't just leave it the way it was with 1.0

  • fuck the haters

  • what is that spinning circle mean?

  • this should've been Playbook 1.0, not 2.0. I would not have gotten an android if this came out a year ago

  • Downloaded this morning... People need to fuck off and stop hating it. Good job RIM, this is a step in the right direction.

  • Lol it sucks

  • still buggy and incomplete... no surprise there

  • Half a job as always

  • I love my Playbook now!! its really awesome if you havent tried os2 then you really should!! i gave my ipad2 to my girlfriend as a hand me down

  • do the update come out today

  • can this guy say "um," any more often? is it possible?

  • @FatherTime1970 watch hockey, then you wont be complaining about this guy.

  • @FatherTime1970 Oh great. I didn't notice that until I saw your comment. Too irritated to watch the video now XD

  • very good review thanks for posting

  • Does anyone know if the 2.0 will support ad hoc networks. I just got a PB and the only way I can connect it to the internet at my house or in school is through ad hoc internet sharing which doesn't work and I haven't found a way around it. Also are there any android apps that enable ad hoc on android tablets, if so would one work on the PB. I'm just trying to get something to work so I don't end up without being able to connect it to wifi most of the time

  • @bigj619d3 let me know if you find something out im also curious about that!

  • @mikemike0079 I did find a solution. On the macs in school simply enabling internet sharing over air port will work on the PB. On my windows 7 laptop at home I used the program connectify. The first time I used it it wouldn't work but I tried it again because I heard the PB works with access points and on connectify it labels the wpa2 access point. So now it sees the signal and works. Google connectify and download it and see if you can get it to work with you

  • When is 2.0 coming out? I heard Feb 17th.

  • @magich8ball Actually RIM has confirmed date to be Feb. 21st. I. Don't know if it's true or its just a rumor.

  • I would love to buy this tablet... but RIM always finds a way to avoid answering questions regarding consumer friendly APPS like Skype and NETFLIX. I just callled them and they gave me a lame excuse by saying "we are working on it"... just like they said whe they released it initially. Come on RIM, I want to give you my business but please it doesn't hurt to have "leisure" APPS

  • @689433 I was at the development conference this week, with the new os u can run android software this means they don't need to make to products that do the same thing, also the netflix browser stuff works well so it's just Skype atm

  • @hellonearth001 Let's see what RIM/Blackberry is going to do now that the US government has dropped them off their interest, 17,000 less users. Why even bother making this tablet????

  • @689433 because it is a good product i am a HUGE apple fanboy but i love the playbook, it is great, it does what it sais on the tin and with the android compatibility the is no need for loads of apps to be remade custom this gives them a huge advantage

  • When does this go on sale

  • @omarbigo57

It's on sale already, $200 for the 16GB model and up to $300 for the 64GB model. With this update fixing [pretty much] every problem that the PlayBook had, you can't go wrong with this tablet.

  • Got one with 64GB for 299 cant beat that has wifi great for movie both on tablet.and with hdmi my TV has awesome music playerits portable solid so getting Android apps will just be Icing on cake nice but not absolutely necessary iny opiniom

  • Does Blackberry Bridge works with os 5 phones ???

  • @hitarthchag yes

  • @hitarthchag He said OS 5 and up so yea.

  • @hitarthchag Yes. As far as I know, BB Bridge only works with OS 5 and up.

  • all i want to know is if we get skype app on the playbook via android (video chat)

  • wen is the update for this??

  • I took mine to Peru, and it was awesome just for watching movies during long layovers. taking travel video in HD and awesome pics. Great to travel with and fits nice in a daypack. Great device.

  • oke which model has he got there? the white blackberry with two leds?

    at 08:45

    thnx

  • @ARLqgangsta i think it is the bold 9900 with a white fascia i think one is a led and the other is a sensor for the screen to go dim when you are on a call, hope this helps

  • @hellonearth001 oke thanks, beautiful explanation!!!

  • @ARLqgangsta anything I can do to help, and as I saw the white one at the development consulting this week

  • Looks exciting... can't wait for possibly new hardware in the Playbook! Anyone know the situation if Skype is coming to Playbook and/or the phones?

  • Do want. Hurry up RIM.

  • wen is the update for 2.0??

  • My playbook is the most better tablet that ever seen¡

  • i wish people would give it a go,i was looking for something a little different, had an ipad before and found it boring.i got my 32gb playbook for 200 pounds and it is great.totaly different to android but its so smooth and very well built,

go get one they're great bits if kit and with the update in february it will have everything you need.

  • And that is why I have chosen the playbook. That calender/contact list along with the social networks?! Now that's powerful.

  • I am so looking forward to OS 2 I dowish there wouldbemore real eztate businessapps

  • @doglover549: iu know the problem with everyone is everyones marketing blackberries to be worse than they are. The iphone 4s has no technological innovation. It was the exact samme phone as the first time. But when Blackberry realizes the bold 9900 with its touchscreen it gets bashed for having a phone that was similar to its old one. Ur trying to kill rim just by being negative. My playbook is amazing. It is technological innovative and the update will complete what was missing

  • playbook is the best tablet out there. i love mine.best 300 ever spent. dont believe the hype of apple users. bb10 coming @ u in septemebee. the wait will be worth it!

  • @IckyVicky231 hahahahahaha ur funny.

  • Looks Amazing but still no kindle app

  • @snowboarder1019 It's the same old one, just a software upgrade.

  • going to get this one for sure, skipped put on the first one cause it was rims first try

  • @shootrabbit february 17

  • i have uploaded os version 2.0.0.4869 on my playbook. i found out it doesn't have video chat. how could i install video chat on my playbook? please help

  • Pick one up without a contract free from playbookforfree.co.uk all you have to do is join and do an offer then get other people to do the same simples!

  • What 2.0 version is this? It seems really cool but today I downloaded version 2.0.0.7111 and the accounts options are missing (vid at 3:55). Where we can get this version? I am waiting for something like this for over 6m. Tx!

  • I love my playbook, great price and quality, size is portable and great for the plane and travel, HD video is amazing and HDMI is cool.

  • There are a ton of apps? I could not find Skype. I could not find Netflix. What about Hulu? There is no Kindle reader or Nook reader. I wanted Angry Birds, well its $5.00 for the Playbook, Angry Birds for Android $1.00. Notice that the only thing they show is the new email app. Can you print from the Playbook? Do not waste your money on this junk. Buy anything else but a Playbook.

  • @Tom2736

They are charging too much for PB Angry Bird's but who cares. I love my Playbook! See more apps every day - and am excited about V2, and I CAN wait for its release next month. Don't listen to the non-owning naysayers who likely have other motives for posting.

  • ANYBODY WANT TO TRY IT?

Native SDK. Simply Enter your BB PB PIN, and then wait a minute or two, then "Check For Updates", and the PB 2.0 OS will update automatically. Will take about 30 minutes cuz its like 466MB

    ENJOY!

    bdsc. webapps. blackberry. com/native/beta/register/

  • @AlienPrime173 thats the beta.. not the full version like this one.

  • looks sick as fuck, but i really wish they put some arrow keys on the keyboard

  • when comes it out???

  • just wow !

  • I LOVE BLACKBERRY!!! YEAH WITH OR WITHOUT PROBLEMS

  • crazy software - lovin it and can't wait

  • There are tons of apps in app world and the place just keeps getting better and better. For reviews on the latest and greatest apps for the AMAZING playbook head on over to my channel or my website just add my .com to my user name :)

  • Well, you certainly could have done the Android app support much better than that. Just scrap the Android and go around on your knees trying to get developers to create apps for the Playbook. When you have more apps on the App World, that will defiantly help you guys in selling a lot more tablets. I have one, and the biggest selling point for me is the size. Just please expand the Blackberry App World without Android, and you will not regret it!

  • BB should have support skype apps

  • @007kly skype's coming with the android app support. i cant wait to get my playbook! rim ftw!

    Typing on a blackberry torch.

  • Needs more apps. IM apps, games, video chat, etc.

  • This is exactly what Windows Phone has done. Nice to see others catching on to what integration is really worth,

  • apple may have convinced people that having flash is a bad thing but i am very glad that my playbook is the only tablet that can truly go on the net where no other tablet can :-) i hope the playbook makes a great comeback because it deserves it.

  • any browser improvement?

  • Jeff is loving it up. He was using the 9790 on a video that he made with Crackberry Kevin during CES 2012. And in this video which is also throughout that time he is using the white 9900... Perks!

  • NO PORTRAIT KEYBOARD LOL I JUST LOL'D....

  • @2secondman There is a portrait keyboard. They showed it in the video. It's temporarily disabled in the beta version of the messaging app (as they perfect it), but it'll be there on launch. They said it in the video. Unlike so many OEMs out there today, I'd rather it be bug-free at launch than have a stack of buggy, unreliable features.

  • ipad3 is coming with new hardware not new software, PB hardware is already better than ipad2 so no real reason to switch

  • well with this OS and new apps, they will the ipad 2 as they selling at just $200...but if ipad 3 comes with quad core and lte.. this thing will loose its market again.

  • @ak48you The hardware of the PlayBook is superior to the iPad 2, regardless of the prices of the tablets. And, with this software, there will be MORE things the PlayBook does that the iPad can't / doesn't.

  • @duane534 i just lol'd

  • Today I learned mobilesyrup also owns "mobilesyrop"

  • iPad3 is coming, playbook 2.0 is too later for everything. Huge price cut make customer Lose faith on this device already.I feel sorry for those who bought playbook at release.

  • @yesthesky Don't feel sorry. The only thing that the iPad has on the PlayBook NOW is apps. With OS 2.0, there will be Android apps of every flavor. The iPad 3 still won't have proper multi-tasking or web.

  • Too later for

  • talks like a lil kid???out of all the info he gave you THATs what u choose to pick on. smh, real jack@ ss.

@paceyPimp, its the QNX playbook OS that RIM built. not android at all

  • @avaio1 So how does it run Android apps is it running them emulated

  • @PaceyPimp There is a virtual machine, similar to the way you run a copy of Windows XP within Mac OS/X to run Windows apps. It's seamless and hidden, but it's there, to provide the best of both worlds.

  • Talks like a stupid little kid. Why can't RIM hire people who can professionally present their products?

  • @slickvguy what the FUCK are you talking about?

  • What Android OS is this OS based on?

  • @PaceyPimp its the playbooks own one, i forget the name of it.

  • @PaceyPimp It is NOT based on Android OS, but is Based on its Native Source..

  • @PaceyPimp It isn't. It's running BlackBerry Tablet OS. On top of that is a copy of Android 2.3. On top of that are the Android apps. BlackBerry Tablet OS (QNX) is a beast!

  • Just got the PB about a week ago like it much better than my iPad much more portable and much better web-browser (flash is kind of imp for me) but this OS 2.0 will complete it :)

  • Wow can't wait enough to upgrade to the OS 2.0 on my PB

  • @muthushiv thats the whole point of native email - its completely independent of your phone, so no BB is required.

  • Playbook ftw. 7in tablets are much better suited for portability/productivity than 10in tablets i find.

  • I really like what I'm seeing. Very excited to know my belief in BB wasn't simply blind faith.

  • what abt those who dont own a berry! can they still get the consolidated email box?

  • @muthushiv Yes.

  • 6:07 Dropped Wifi? Wifi is working, he has full connection lol 6:45

  • @GoerzIndustries I would just go for it because RIM has not expressed any intentions of releasing an second version so I would buy the Playbook before the price goes back up.

  • Waterlooooooooo!

  • awesome video, can't wait for the update. well done to the presenter and RIM staff

  • does anyone know when 2.0 will release? I don't know if I want to buy the playbook before OS 2.0 launches and/or I wait to see when Playbook 2 is coming out - thoughts?

  • @GoerzIndustries febuary I believe

  • @GoerzIndustries February is the launch month. They haven't said anything specifically. The physical tablet isn't changing. It already leads the pack in screen resolution, cameras, and touch sensitivity.
