adoro estas escenas de escenas de la gran silla alli se ven las influencias de como comenzaron a ser un duo.valla si que los admirio amo a tears for fears.with love shathenst4f.
If I had a dollar for every song written in the 1980s by limp-wristed Europeans about the certain oncoming nuclear holocaust between the USA & USSR (I'm looking at you, Scorpions), well, then I'd have several dollars for sure.
When they're playing Mother's Talk, is that how it usually sounds through mics for bands if they don't have the earphones in? Echoing and out of time with the rest of the music? Or is that a particular system? Anyone can answer this?
the sound is echoing because they're soundchecking in an empty hall. The sound bounces of the walls. If there are people inside that excessive reverb is more or less gone...
Frankly i dont know why these guy arent bigger than radio head these days, they have much better music to listen out loud, instead of the depressing minimal rock type that RH plays.
ive been listening to 3 albums of radiohead and they bore me to tears...yes the music is good, but not very uplifting.
At last, there is someone that feels the same way as I do about Tears for Fears. They have always expressed themselves clearly, their records have a certain depth and they have made diverse music without compromising on good melodies and harmonies. Their music is very uplifting.
Don't get me wrong I like Radiohead and I think 'OK Computer' is a masterpiece but that album is so disturbing! Tears for Fears- as their name suggests- always have something really positive in all their albums.
hey ppl, do yourselves a favor and listen to Head Over Heals carefully. yes that song's about troubled-Roland falling in love with a chick who has a troubled past, but he takes the chance to solve it anyway, thanks to "Phenomenon", and "Revelation" that song and mother's talk make soooo much freakin sense when put together.
this song's about forseeing tragedy, terror, and nuclear war. how? in your mind's eye- get this- phenomenon/premonitions/ and funky weather (gloomy in May, Indian Summer in Feb with winds gushing at 60 mph and then dying out abruptly. oh and btw, there was a 7.9 quake in china today.
They had a reunion in 2004 and recorded some new stuff. There are a bunch of clips here on youtube showing them playing some of their songs (old & new). They actually don't look that much different believe it or not :)
Thanks! Yeah, I looked them up on Google. Roland is still very hansome after all these years. It's good to know they obviously have taken care of themselves over 2 decades later.
Man, i remember seeing this on tv back in '85. Brings back a flood of memories. Love to hear Roland talk, he sounds incredibly thoughtful and well spoken. Thanks again for these videos, they're much appreciated.
they are the best ,uhhhhhh yeahhhhhh

Curt was looking kind of annoyed starting at frame 1:50 where he's doing some goofy shit behind Roland's back.
CelesteK 3 years ago
Curt must have thought that Roland didn't know that he was doing that stuff behind his back?
CelesteK 3 years ago
I tend to think 1:50 he was just goofing off cos Roland was sort of goofing around too with the singing tempo at that point :)

Their albums usually follow a theme, notice "time flies" and same melodic theme in "Broken" and "Head Over Heels".
nancywarren 3 years ago
oh yeah youre right.. Broken is the "past-trauma" track that's followed by Over Heals. thanx
