  • I've seen this video for years and years and it was not until now that I realized Roy Dean was the one throwing this triangle up. Props man.

  • So much easier when you're tall.

  • So that's what that is lol my friend trains bjj and was ecstatic he got someone in a flyin triangle I have no idea what it was so I youtubed it lol

  • much respect to the guy that lost

  • haha cant stop the flying triangle :P

  • nice

  • dam that trianle wasnt deep enough but that was a nice tranisition to the arm bar

  • and that is a good sport...

  • nice timing mr. dean. i saw you compete at last years U.S. Open in Santa Cruz. Very classy and technical bjj practioner. osss

  • triangle on the ground is beautiful and a flying triangle is ....... i like it.

  • O.O that was intense

  • Flying Armbar is one thing, but the triangle seems like there is a lot more opportunity to get hurt

  • nice

  • love it

  • was the guy russian

  • The dude who loses gives a thumbs up. That, ladies and gentlemen, is a good sport.

  • i dont blame him for giving a thumbs up

if someone dropped a flying triangle on me i would praise them

what the fuck am i supposed to do about that...

  • i wished i'm his dummy everyday..

  • that was a nice triangle and armbar

  • OWNED!

  • fucking beautiful. god damn.

  • thats how its done

  • beautiful!!

  • That has always been my favorite standing move. And my favorite ground move has always been the triangle choke

  • Excellent technique! Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

  • should have driven that knee to the left once he freed his right arm...at least thats what i would have wanted to do.. :) cool stuff.

  • Nice!

  • I love that you said "would have wanted to do", I hate when my friends say,"I would of done this ... blaw blaw blaw".

  • Exactly. It's easy to say it when you're sittin' on your ass watching it on a screen. I think Roy has enough experience to know what he should've done.

  • im so glad the normal looking kid beat the pro-wrestler looking guy...

  • Man, the triangle just came out of nowhere.

  • nice triangle dude i hope i pull some thing like that on some one day.

  • Nice.

  • ive been wrestling submission for a long time, and i just recently joine a freestyle/ grecco team. this one dude who's like 2x stronger than me tried to show off before practice one day by taking me down and pinning me. i put the triangle on him and man, he lost bloodflow so quickly i had to let him go or he'd faint.

  • what a beautiful flying triangle choke almost can compete with Genki Sudo flying triangle ^^

  • BJJ makes me giggle. Nice submission, though. :D

  • nice

  • good jump into the triangle, that guy had no defense against triangle or armbar tho, needs to train more before he rematches you

  • why didnt he try to stack the triangle?

  • nice....almost got an armbar at the end

  • he DID get the armbar....that's what ended the match.

  • yeah thats right...forgot to see that armbar...so focus on the triangle...lol

  • wow, that was really clean. awesome job dude.

  • Man, you have some crazy jiu-jitsu skills.

  • hahha awsome, again a russian ;)

  • Good job realizing the triangle wasn't quite there and nice transition to arm. Wicked job flying around!!!

  • that had to be the best thing i've seen on youtube all month. keep training! BTW..im going to train to steal that set up!

  • thats awesome man! congratulations

  • GRAND. Really nice. Your legs and arms might not be as thick and strong as the guy you were fighting but it's a sweet build for a triangle. And yeah it didnt look like he was a tapper, even though you woulda had him eventually with the triangle, going to the arm was a very smart move.

  • dude you look like your 7 feet tall in this video! sweet flying triangle well done

  • pretty sick, same for the arm bar

  • sweet transition to the armbar

  • Eahhh!! awesome!!!

  • I thought I invented that move...haha guess I was wrong, way to go. You can also set that up with a feint sloppy high kick to the head to bait them into a takedown, then secure the leg etc etc. But I suppose that'd be left to MMA competitions.

  • Bravo !

  • toru315,

This guy wasn't going to tap to the triangle, he would rather pass out, and I only had about 30 seconds left in the match. Watch when he grabs my wrist- I had to take that opening while it was available. Later, he was put in a kneebar and refused to tap. The referee stopped it when his knee popped, but he jumped up and started throwing kicks to prove he was alright! They wouldn't let the match continue, and it shows you how freakishly strong and tough this guy was.

  • @uchideshi the kind of heart that dude hass also but nevertheless awsom triangle i can only pull it off at my sparring for some reason never in an actual match tha time i tried it i slipped and ended up getting arm triangle

  • Looks like you could have locked in the triangle if you could have just pulled in the left leg while you positioned the head. From the color of the opponents head I'm guessing the lock was working.

  • that's the bjj's philosophy! Even though your opponent doesn't know anything about bjj, you've done very well a flying triangle.

  • at last, a video on here that shows some good technique

  • awesome!!!

  • Congrats
