I bought one and I liked the picture but the bulb burned out after 2 weeks so I took her back. I'm thinking about getting one again for Halo Reach. This is the only native 1280x720p video displaying device still being made I think. Am I right? Thats what makes it good for xbox 360 gaming on top of that it's got good color accuracy out of the box.
its like recomended 720? what happens when you run 1080 ? is it no longer eco settings? i was doing some research and i read some bad reviews about this projector any imput? it still interests me im thinking heavily about buying it what do you recomend?
jus a question guys. im gona buy this projecter. i have a big spare white wall, only thing is, will it affect the picture if my wall has a slight grainy texture to it or will projection paint solve that?
why buy this one when for a couple bucks more you can get the Optoma HD20 1080p....as for your wall yes it will affect the image go to ebay and get yourself a cheap retractable screen will be much better than the wall
i got 1 its not worth it just get a 42 inch save ur money / after about 2 months it gets wack yaa it seemed like it was worth it at first but after 2 months plus u cant have it over 80 inches cuzz its too bright
i dont have a problem besides my bulb blew up for my projector and i heard that if u keep ur screen big you lose your vision over time i dont no i dont care i just ill finish writing this later gotta go!!!
This projector does not actually play 1080p it does like all other projectors and shrinks it down to its available pixels and crops it so it "looks" like 1080p. It really can only display 720p since thats the native resolution. Still looks incredible though and is a great projector.
You only see difference in games at 1080p becouse the new render with mode details in 1080p, but in a movie, that doesn't has a new render, is the same picture in 1080p and 720p, frame to frame, you won't see any difference.
what are you talking about??? I have a 720 p projector and and 1080p both are from the same brand and there is a difference specially in depth and contrast
Hi there i appreciate your post of this projector as i am considering getting this myself.
Could you post some videos of live action hi def footage with dark scenes like Batman, Sin City etc. Also just a suggestion i think it would help to keep the video camera in front of the screen while recording and not move it. At what size is the image being projected?

@peterbucaneiro how can it display at 1080p on a 720p projector?
Tech4U247 10 months ago
@Tech4U247 The same way all TVs do, downscaling it.
peterbucaneiro 10 months ago
@Tech4U247 yeh so because its downscaled you are only seeing 720p
Tech4U247 10 months ago

so do you see a big difference between a 1080p and a 720p or is it minimal?

I mean that you may not have installed the projector correctly.
Each projector has a different offset of the image, then you can not just draw a projector and put the other in the same place.

and i never had a problem with the shapes with that projector

Do you think that the fan is loud and do you notice when the fan goes on?
splicer91 3 years ago
The HTPC's fan is louder than Optoma's Fan.

i have this projector. the only complaint i had about it is that it took a heck of a long time to fix it so it dont look like a trapezoid..
pooppoopishy 3 years ago
You already had another projector before?
Becouse what you are saying, happening with all projectors.
Is important place it straight of the screen, not angled, vertically or horizontally.
peterbucaneiro 3 years ago
yes i have. i had a sharp XR10 before.
pooppoopishy 3 years ago
Nice projector man.I'll envy you until i get mines tomorrow.
Babygirlsdreams 3 years ago
