I want to join this circus....I've took classes in Mexico and loved it...how do you get into one? And is there a long time course you can take with room and board...like the one I saw in the U.K? Hope anyone can help with this question?!

Oh, and I'm 29, hope it's not to late...But I'm good, I dance,act,sing, anything I put my mind I can do! or at least try... :o)

@20091cali it's usualy going to be too late to start actual circus training at 29, most schools won't take anyone over 25 and most clowning schools stop at 30 so i'd get on it quick if your serious about it. That doesn't mean you wouldn't be able to apply for a circus, now a days circuses have dancers, singers, and people with all sorts of other talents as well. So if your at a top level in one or more of those things then look up different circuses and see when they're holding auditions. :)

All you have to do to join a circus is be willing to set up the damn tent everyday in whatever weather the world throws at you.

I worked for a circus for six years and we'd pick up tent crew guys at the homeless shelter...

@lazyboyalex12 that's defiantly an unintellectual statement. Most circuses don't even use animals anymore because of the bad connotation that it gives now a days, and the ones that do use other methods to train their animals because it's looked down upon to treat any animals badly nowadays.

If U want hard work you got it, forgot to mention Circus Vargus, tent boss Smurf a good man, remember if your a con artist a scammer the circus is not a place for U entertainment is there gig, a carnival would suit U better if your a con artist. Long hours is a understatement, nomads of the night, and if ya think your goin to sleep while others work, they have there own by-laws it's called the enforcer, other than that all circus people are down to earth clowns and straight up trapeze artist
