  • @nascar1111 That's Tillman Franks, his bass player and manager. Recovering from hernia surgery. This was just weeks before the car accident that took Horton's life. Franks was a passenger, as was his lead guitar player Tommy Tomlinson.

  • Love Johnny Horton. At the time of his death was married to Billie Jean Eshlimar...Hank Williams widow. Both Williams and Horton died in cars. Williams was suffering from tuberculosis (I think) but also had back problems. He died in the back seat of a car driven by Charles Carr. Horton was hit and killed by a drunk driver.
