  • i agree with most on this video. who cares about the look?? im hearing impaired myself. go drew :)

  • What a cute kid. :3

  • do they hear like us? or is it different? do you know? very cute boy btw

  • @cokerainbows it sounds funny talking you can understand the words but they dont sound like a humans voice.

  • @californiavirgo

Water isn't an issue with today's cochlear implants. And who cares if you think it's "ugly"? The child has been given the gift of music, the chance to fully learn the spoken language, a chance to hear the world and gain a far greater awareness of his surroundings through the medium of sound, and he's lost the social barrier to the rest of the world that deafness (sadly) tends to offer the afflicted one.

I'd say the benefits far outweigh any "ugliness" of the device.

  • @californiavirgo <======= jealous deaf dude

  • YOU ARE MORE HUMAN LIKE US

  • So awesome!! Automatically just so happy for Drew, and his parents. What an amazing video-thanks for sharing it!!

  • this is awesome, now we only gotta tackle blindness. congrats on the baby! and i hope many more people get the opportunity to do this for their kids.

  • I think that if I was that kid and my mom said "you like to hear huh?" I would look at her and nah bitch, what the hell do you think?

  • @luisnunezjr some hearing impaired people are against cochlear implants- go figure

  • "go drew, go drew, go drew" , what a beautifull sweetheart god bless him, thank you for sharing your beautifull moment.

  • Adorable. Ok, im 35, and recently laid off from my career. I have been trying to decide what to go back to school for and after seeing this video...i am seriously considering pediatric audiology. Thanks for the inspiring video. Perhaps a one year old is the best career counselor yet haha. Maybe the will be Drew's career :)

  • so only one ear right?

  • @spidy05 Drew has bilateral (one for each ear) cochlear implants, but since we turned one on at a time, you only see one on his head in this video. Good question.

  • @TurnOnMyEars cool thanks!

  • does ci works with a completly dead ear????

  • @butterflieskiss88 Sure. Drew has profound hearing loss in both ears, but he hears very well with his cochlear implants today.

  • omg i never seen somthing so cute

  • Bloody hell that's one of the cutest things I've ever witnessed.

  • I think he's trying to escape and explore the interesting new world of sound. :D
