ugly to look at such device on head. ugh very ugly can't have nice hairdo what about swimming getting in water, have to take them off?? instead of baby having cochlear implant how about you learning sign language??? that not invasive change!
Water isn't an issue with today's cochlear implants. And who cares if you think it's "ugly"? The child has been given the gift of music, the chance to fully learn the spoken language, a chance to hear the world and gain a far greater awareness of his surroundings through the medium of sound, and he's lost the social barrier to the rest of the world that deafness (sadly) tends to offer the afflicted one.
I'd say the benefits far outweigh any "ugliness" of the device.
Adorable. Ok, im 35, and recently laid off from my career. I have been trying to decide what to go back to school for and after seeing this video...i am seriously considering pediatric audiology. Thanks for the inspiring video. Perhaps a one year old is the best career counselor yet haha. Maybe the will be Drew's career :)
@spidy05 Drew has bilateral (one for each ear) cochlear implants, but since we turned one on at a time, you only see one on his head in this video. Good question.
no good
