I am a veteran, Iran raid, Grenada, Somalia. !st Bn 75th Inf (Ranger) also at the end of my service my last duty assignment was a privilege, I was sent to the dept, and fulfilled my dream of becoming a Ranger Instructor. Now I do therapy with all the Amputees from the Army and Marines. I have more respect for them, over everyone! I have met two Rangers that came in and out very fast, but they are very respectable men that shared a few stories with my father, (ex-Special Forces pilot) but I respect them A TON! @TheNavysealsrock You should not join the Army just to become a Ranger. Not all Rangers are fighters. You can go to Ranger school to get the tab without becoming a Ranger. The only way to become a Ranger is to join the Ranger Regiment, the 75th, and wear a Tan Beret. Most soldiers get their wings and many soldiers go through Ranger school. Those are two things that you are encouraged to do. There are the Tan, Red, Green and Black Berets that you can wear in the Army. Each one is good.

Black was annexed... if you want to go to regiment you need to go through RASP, do not go to Ranger school before RASP... if you aren't born in Bat you won't like your life... and definitely don't stay in regiment like @MultiRanger19 regiment, and any bat besides 3rd is for pussies or people who can't hack it. @SituationalGravity im going to join too. i did some research and ranger school is one of the hardest training coarses in the world so for advice id say to start running A LOT because you are tested to run. i have a lot of knowledge about joining. any questions id be glad to answer

Situps im good with i can do about 100 straight without stopping =) running i definatly need to get better at ill start working out alot more in my weight training class my mile time is shitty only 7 minutes

@SituationalGravity you can be in the best shape in the world, but it dont matter if you dont work with your team. Work out and be in shape beforehand. Once you get there, work together, and stay in a mindset that you will earn your tab. You can't quit. Rangers dont stop moving our muscles even during muscle failure. YOu keep working through the pain, the fatigue and the cold. Its hell but if you say YES i can when your body says NO you cant, then push on and you can earn it. Its never given.

They say you can't get into the Army with ADHD and bad grades. I'm working on my grades now and my self control. EVERYONE who told me I couldn't have good grades, everyone who said I was stupid knowing I was smarter than they ever will be, EVERYONE WHO SAYS I CAN'T BE A FUCKING RANGER! They're gonna eat their words. I can get better grades then any of them. I was having trouble finding myself was all. I have now and I'm gonna do what I set out to do my whole life.

@deerhunter29102 If, you're talking about the picture at :25, it looks legit. I was an army paratrooper, that means I really know. They're wearing the old "B.D.U." camo pattern cold weather jackets, and old "K-pots". This picture was probably taken a few years ago. That's a M-119 on top and 240B on bottom and probably a blackhawk assault pack on the left. Russians don't carry high speed shit like that.

@LemonadeRabbit . Military academies are like Universities but are more focused on the Militarynlisting . For example, West Piont is the best academy you can get into. It is located in New York. They give scholarships but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Now for the follower part you have one most common choice and it is by enlisting into the army. To enlist you must be at least age 17and I believe you must gradute from high school. Continued on next comment.
@LemonadeRabbit . You must also pass the ARMY physical fitness test. Also the AVSAB( a test you take before you ae even enlist to see how much you know about everthing). The better your scores the more MOS' you have to choose from. Personally i think being an Officer is better. I plan on being an Officer. Through ROTC at UCLA. When you complete the trainning for officer trainning school your rank is Second Lieutenant which is a great high rank. Great pay, great leadership and more power ha. Next

If you decide on elistment you mut wait unitl you are promoted all the way to Sergeant First Class to qualify for Ranger School. You must also be in a COMBAT MOS like Infantry. You must also qualify and volenteer to go to Airborne School. A two week trainning school. To graduate from here you must complete 5 un-assisted parachute jumps from 100's ft high. Continued next...

@SituationalGravity im going to join too. i did some research and ranger school is one of the hardest training coarses in the world so for advice id say to start running A LOT because you are tested to run. i have a lot of knowledge about joining. any questions id be glad to answer

@001THERev Awesome im only 15 but i want out of my house i can take it! i run alot but my only weekness is pushups i can oly do about 45-50... Situps im good with i can do about 100 straight without stopping =) running i definatly need to get better at ill start working out alot more in my weight training class my mile time is shitty only 7 minutes

@RedMarston dude, you are in my position, i can only do about 70 pushups and thats to the point of collapsing, haha, i can do about 80-120 situps, my mile last year was 6:48, im kinda skinny but i can still do better on the fitness test in gym than anyone else. also im like you i just want out of the house. i dont hate it here but man my family just pisses me off sometimes

@SituationalGravity you can be in the best shape in the world, but it dont matter if you dont work with your team. Work out and be in shape beforehand. Once you get there, work together, and stay in a mindset that you will earn your tab. You can't quit. Rangers dont stop moving our muscles even during muscle failure. YOu keep working through the pain, the fatigue and the cold. Its hell but if you say YES i can when your body says NO you cant, then push on and you can earn it. Its never given.

They say you can't get into the Army with ADHD and bad grades. I'm working on my grades now and my self control. EVERYONE who told me I couldn't have good grades, everyone who said I was stupid knowing I was smarter than they ever will be, EVERYONE WHO SAYS I CAN'T BE A FUCKING RANGER! They're gonna eat their words. I can get better grades then any of them. I was having trouble finding myself was all. I have now and I'm gonna do what I set out to do my whole life.

@leathalprey good luck kid, ROTC isnt easy. and RIP (Ranger Indoctrination Program) isnt either. Im a Marine and i was going to go to Ranger School for the advanced training but i decided im going to go to Marine Recon. which part of Recon training is going thru Ranger school and getting Ranger tabs. so i still am going to Ranger school but im also getting even more training

@deerhunter29102 If, you're talking about the picture at :25, it looks legit. I was an army paratrooper, that means I really know. They're wearing the old "B.D.U." camo pattern cold weather jackets, and old "K-pots". This picture was probably taken a few years ago. That's a M-119 on top and 240B on bottom and probably a blackhawk assault pack on the left. Russians don't carry high speed shit like that.

@LemonadeRabbit . Military academies are like Universities but are more focused on the Militarynlisting . For example, West Piont is the best academy you can get into. It is located in New York. They give scholarships but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Now for the follower part you have one most common choice and it is by enlisting into the army. To enlist you must be at least age 17and I believe you must gradute from high school. Continued on next comment.

@LemonadeRabbit . You must also pass the ARMY physical fitness test. Also the AVSAB( a test you take before you ae even enlist to see how much you know about everthing). The better your scores the more MOS' you have to choose from. Personally i think being an Officer is better. I plan on being an Officer. Through ROTC at UCLA. When you complete the trainning for officer trainning school your rank is Second Lieutenant which is a great high rank. Great pay, great leadership and more power ha. Next

@LemonadeRabbit. After enlistment or Officer Training Corps you must have a plan on how you want to become a ranger. If you decide on elistment you mut wait unitl you are promoted all the way to Sergeant First Class to qualify for Ranger School. You must also be in a COMBAT MOS like Infantry. You must also qualify and volenteer to go to Airborne School. A two week trainning school. To graduate from here you must complete 5 un-assisted parachute jumps from 100's ft high. Continued next...

@LemonadeRabbit. My plans to becoma a RANGER is... Get a scholarship to UCLA ROTC and while here go to AIRBORNE school and after I graduate i will be a Second Lieutenant. Then become an Infatntry Officer and after- i think about 18 months go to Ranger school and become a Ranger and lead my fellow men. and Maybe just maybe become a Green Beret( If i have time and have not exceeded the age limit). People are ignorant and dont respect the others becuse it's not of thier interests and are probably the same people that aren't willing to make any sacrifices regardless the branch, not saying that a person has to serve. But if you aren't willing to fight for our country then why argue about which branch is the best because if we take one of them away we are in danger (land, air or sea).
