  • Great! Too bad the acoustics blow.

  • The registration was fabulous. The speed was related to nerves, I loved this piece

  • @pbalent

Yes with loom knees You play twice as fast :-)

  • Nice performance. I like your registrations. Of what manufacture is this organ? The console looks like a Wangerin to me.

  • did she played barefoot_?

  • That must be an old Moller organ. Could use a little tuning, regulation, and some reeds/mixtures for a piece like the Lemmens.

  • Wonderful-Thanks for posting-|-

  • I'd like to see a lot of the smart commentators have a go at this so I could listen. All very well being critical but could they do better?. I think you do really well Abby. Give it heaps

  • A bit fast, but still a good performance. Keep up the great work. As to the comments about the need for organ shoes, I really think that it's a personal preference. I know talented organists who play without shoes, and I also know some who use dress shoes with hard soles. Meanwhile, I prefer the higher heel, the soft soles, and the narrow design of the organ shoes. I also feel that shoes offer protection for your feet that you don't get while barefoot.

  • I like this tempo. I feel any slower and it lacks something.

  • Well done sounds great!! Keep up the good work!!

  • Special shoes for organists are an affectation, not necessary. I've been a church organist for 30 years and, while I always wear dress shoes with a slight heel when playing, I can tell the specially made organists shoes are not necessary.

I even know one organist in New Orleans who plays barefooted; I don't recommend that, but he sound fine to me.

  • iv been playing organ for about 20 yrs, my choir just bot me my first pair of organ shoes last year and i wish i'd gotten them years ago....much easier to hit the right note down there.

  • to fast, to fast !!!

  • For a high school recital, this is excellent.

    Your speed was just fine.

  • Having played that Fanfare for years I'd like to have you consider S L O W I N G down ..I think your accuracy will increase. The piece almost calls out for speeding but establish a comfortable tempo and relax. Great job !

  • did she played barefoot?

  • No, she's wearing her good old Organ shoes lol.

  • what about playing barefoot?;)

  • Why - do you play with gloves on? ;)

Well... I don't play barefoot but with socks. I never got accustomed to shoes. I don't know whether it's preferable or not, but I felt it numbing.

Yeah and as for performance on the video, thanks! :) Some errors but they go away eventually.

  • As for playing with shoes, my organ teacher highly reccomended them, and I got them. They were a bit cumbersome at first, but now that I am used to them and since I am getting more advanced, they are necessary for good technique on toe-heel (and vice versa) pedaling. I tried playing without them and it was much harder to play after being used to them. I have Organmaster shoes.

  • well done... only some very very small mistakes

  • Great

  • Nicely done.
