I can see why the mod died. Still had all the worst parts of Doom 3 like screenshaking when hit, the zombies having wonky dodge animations, and the weapons feeling weak...

But didn't really add much besides location-based damage (Headshots), and prettier graphics.

@Dominator337 I was the level designer >>GameHacKeR<< for Doom Reborn we desided to end it because Doom 3 was starting to get quite old and it appeared people where starting to loose intrest with the game and i started working at spar in my town and didnt have the time to do anymore development. We had beta version we were going to release with a few final tweaks but it never got released. I Created level's doom1 e1m3 and doom2 e1m2 (which never got released :( )

@mrtwinky2007 as others have noted this is how doom 3 should have been... i dont think epople would have lost interest .. cuase this is hte next best thing to doom 4 or doom 3 belive it or not.. you would not have dissapointed people

its so sad when mods like this die, cuz I thought doom reborn was awesome, I mean it was what we really wanted, original doom with high-res textures and real 3d monsters and everything + and advanced lightning engine, im pretty sure if this got fully made it could be the most downloaded mod for doom 3

I think you should reduce the hp the enemies have to be more close to the original.

it does not go from like e1m1 to e1m2 it goes to e1m3

and from doom 2 it goes back to doom 1 after first level

i am so sad that they did not finish it , I LOVED BOTH classic doom and doom 3

@stardustmaniac2008 this is much similar to the classic doom maps, see the textures, the decorations, classic doom3 use the doom3 textures.....so this doom mod is much better, but only have few maps and classic doom3 have all the maps from the first episode...

The latest 0.35 from doom wad station.

That is odd. There is an 0.85 version but it is hard to find. Also I used 0.35 in this video. You might need to reinstall DOOM 3 and then try. Or make a copy of DOOM 3 and install another so you have two.

They are doing DOOM 1 at the moment and doing a little bit of work on DOOM 2 also. This is Alpha 0.35 and I have found a newer Alpha 0.85 I am going to test it and hope Episode 1 is completed. In this version they only needed 3 more levels:) (4 if you count the military base E1M9)

ok for some reason i can't give you a direct link. but google doom wad station. under the doom 3 tab click total conversions. go down till you see Doom Reborn. Thats it, then you can download the lastest version (the one i have) which contains most of E1

I'm not very good at installing Doom 3 mods as this was one of the first i got to work. Anyway does your game freeze before you start it? If it does you may need to reinstall DOOM 3 and the mod.

No my game doesn't freeze. Another Doom 3 mod is Doom 3 Classic.
