ppl who read the bible without pretense know this is the truth. im so thankful i obeyed the Lord and stayed in the word 24/7 as a brand new christian. knowing the truth is a blessing in it self. i pray ppl will come out of their deception and just live in the freedom christ gave them. helping others without limitations is beautiful. You are correct about the tithe law being distorted but you took just about every scripture you used to prove your point completely out of context. Shalom!
You can still tithe if you choose, but it should not be binding. What's the condition of your heart if you tithe? If you choose to tithe it's not like you're better then those who don't. I tithe but I know that I don't have to. I tithe because I want to.
The sad part is the church is full of people who choose tithing. Part of the problem is which system of theology they adhere to. If they are covenant and to a lesser extent new covenant then they will think they should tithe. But if they are Dispensational then one would expect that they would think of cheerful giving versus tithing. If you didn't mention it you should have stressed the NT principal of cheerful giving in accordance with what you are able.
