I concur. The fundamental perpetrator of the Bhutto's assassination was likely the CIA. The US has spent 10 Bil propping up Musharrif (to get Bin Laden). Unlikely then that the US would allow Bhutto to win election. The US helped Bhutto back into the country, then "failed" to protect her. McCain's spurious logic, that it is Islamic extremists who gain by her death, is sickeningly myopic, if not blatantly Orwellian. Real journalists, pls stand up. PEACE!

The idea that we were behind Bhutto's assassination is absurd. In fact, her assassination was a great failure for US policy, and the push for these elections was a Condi Rice, US State Dept project. The Pakistani elections, cancelled because of her assassination, were to be a great success for US diplomacy(answering prior calls from all sides for more).

So, no, the US wasn't behind her assassination in any way.
