@BarbieBoy1997 lol at your use of the word "great analogy". When I said terrible analogy i meant in the sense of a "weak analogy" IE False analogy logical fallacy. Analogy doesn't work because black metal comes from satanist culture, whereas punk comes from a culture that is anti-establishment, and Christian is pro-establishment, this is my point all along, you're saying A has x and y, B has A's X, so must also have Y = Weak analogy
I used to love this band a lot. They were so real with what they believed. Their music, from what I saw and experienced, was not just a job in a band. Their music was their passion and their communication to us at that time. With all of the comments, I can see I'm not alone in my love for this band.
This video brings back great memories of my younger years. Thank-you for putting it on the Youtube!
@BarbieBoy1997 I generally leave comments alone. Unless they are totally inappropriate for the video's most likely audience. Christian and/or Punk can handle just about anything.
Kly45 God can use any music to get his point accross, even punk. I became a believer in the 1980's largely going to hard rock and punk concerts at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa on Saturday nights. Undercover was one of those bands that were real special, I can't tell you how many of my friends got saved at concerts like Undercover which always attracted a huge crowd. After Undercover played songs there would be a Bible Study and an alter call, it was a total blast and lots got saved!
@kly45 Oy vey, what do you hope to achieve with all of this "That's not punk" jive? You're just being a nuisance. You won't change the fact that this group is punk by your opinions. All you are doing is wasting time.
kly45 please leave punk alone. It has nothing to do with you
@usernameofnobody You have got to be kidding me, punk is anti-establishment and anti-authoritarian themes - that's the complete opposite of believing in an established religion like Christianity in which God is an authoritarian. I don't understand punk? Yeah mate I've been listening to Velvet underground, Suicide, The Cramps, Sex Pistols, Iggy and the Stooges, The clash and the ramones since before you were born and I clearly don't understand punk. Idiot
@usernameofnobody "SAyiing what can't be punk and what can be is making rules" no it isn't, it's defining a genre, if we couldn't do that we would could say that electro-pop and late-romantic were also punk, which is absurd. Punk is generally defined as being anti-authority. Religion is a form of authority, hence it makes an oxymoron-genre which also happens to be pretty lame
@BarbieBoy1997 Yeah I guess you're right, as I'm someone who has studied theology, philosophy and musicology at university level, I have NO idea what I am talking about
@kly45 Say whatever you want, you are still wrong. A professor can tell me an orange is really a banana, doesn't make it a banana. "All religions are pro-establishment" is an extremely uneducated statement of ignorance. Ever heard of David Koresh?
@BarbieBoy1997 First thing's first. A professor would never tell you an orange is a banana, because that is wrong. What he will tell you though (and this is what I'm telling you) is that an orange is an orange. "extremely uneducated statement of ignorance. Ever heard of David Koresh?" I was referring to the big ones, not cults. Even so, it's still pro-establishment because it wants to establish itself as a system of rules to govern groups of people.
@BarbieBoy1997 Even if I was wrong would this point to me being uneducated? Moreover would it point to me being "extremely" uneducated. Maybe you should "turn the other cheek" instead of insulting me. And if we're talking about ignorance, then I'm afraid it's not me. Being open minded is about looking at all the possibilities of an answer and THEN choosing one that makes the most sense. To say that you won't listen to professionals and that YOU decide what things mean is actually more ignorant
@kly45 turning the other cheek wouldn't be punk. Weird how you misunderstand that verse and use it when it's to your advantage, if it were possible. This is too funny, having a straighty try to tell me what punk means. Go back to your prep school, you have no clue what punk life is all about.
It's like "It's okay to bash people, but when they return bashing, throw a Bible verse at them and tell them to stop!' Wah! Wah! You started this. You should have never bashed this group.
@BarbieBoy1997 " Wah! Wah! You started this. You should have never bashed this group." hahaha I was actually pointing out the irony nd contradiction of christian punk. Your holybook teaches you one thing, and this says something else. I never went to prep school and if you'd notice, I listen to bands like Suicide, velvet underground, sex pistols, vaccines, the cramps et al. Having knowledge of something/being well spoken doesn't make you a prep kid, it just means you care so much about th emusic
@BarbieBoy1997 that you actually go research your shit and start to listen to better bands. I have lived through punk. Let me guess, your lifestyle is so punk? "I don't let anybody tell me what to do because the system is wrong! oh sorry I have to go to sunday school to learn about a guy that walked on water, yes THAT IS TRUE!"
Most people don't donate their brain until AFTER they die. Why would I go to Sunday School.
Now you add to the fire Hate Speech? You hate punk music, you hate homosexuals, you hate religion...not much to live for in your life is there? That's why you get on here and whine about music and post negative comments. You know what, if I don't like a band, i never post hateful comments. I move along. But you are a total jerk that just sucks the fun out of the internet.
@BarbieBoy1997 errm you aren't a christian but you listen to christian rock?
1. I don't hate punk music, did you not read when I explained that a)this isn't punk and b)I like loads of real punk bands
2. Calling someone a fag doesn't make them homophobes. I have a few gay friends and my brother is gay. A "fag" is like calling someone a "bitch", ie they're not literally a female dog - look up Josh homme calling someone a fag and his reaction.
Elton John's music is rock n'roll, with a distinct style of his own.
Black metal bands aren't satanists, that is naive, and even if they were their message isn't necessarily pro-satanism.
j-pop is called J-pop becuase there is a distinct difference between it and normal pop. The lyrics aren't pro-Japan, the style has cultural significance.
Christian punk is just punk pop with christian messages.
@kly45 No, it's a great analogy. No matter what analogy I make, you are going to insult me and say it's terrible. You are just into insulting others. You insult homosexuals, religious people, musicians.
The analogy is very good, you assume that people who listen to Christian Music are in the Christian religion.
That is naive, and even if they were their message isn't necessarily pro-God. So you are telling me that none of the Black Metal bands are Satanists? I disagree.
@kly45 Many of the Black Metal band members openly say they are Satanists. So are you going to tell me they are not, when they say they are? I think they know what they are. I like their music, too. Are you also bashing them saying things like "Yeah that is totally not metal"? Or are you just into bashing "faggots", religionists, and punk musicians?
@BarbieBoy1997 Can you read? I just told you that I wasn't using "faggot" in the term to discriminate homosexuals. The word faggot has changed many times throughout the history of it's usage. I'm not bashing religous people or punk musicians (I just told you twice that I like punk, are you retarded?).
Need to put this in caps so you can understand my point I AM SAYING CHRISTIAN AND PUNK ARE CONTRADRADICTIONS TO EACH OTHER. I never said religion or punk were bad, try reading my comment moron
@BarbieBoy1997 I laugh at your naivety and stupidity. I have now claimed several times that calling someone names does not mean that you are making fun of minority groups. Furthermore, I have told you that I am not venting hate, simply putting my point that this music contradicts itself. Thirdly, funny how you should defend the christian faith, which if I remember correctly is homphobic, sexist and racist. Also God hates disabled people in the bible
@BarbieBoy199721:17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
21:18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
@BarbieBoy199721:21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
21:22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
21:23 Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, and thuse desecrate my sanctuary
This sounds good! Is this song on any record?

Thank-you for posting this video. It's too bad that spoiled brats leave negative comments. They were just brought up that way.
Obviously their unsolicited opinion is more important to them than their attempt to be cordial.
