Lost Planet - Mission 7 Boss (on foot) - Extreme Mode

I half beat (literally half) the other spider mech boss on foot on hard. After my thing blew up I was like a mile away from the other mech so I was like f this I'm gunna grab that gernade launcher and pray for a miracle. I didn't pray but - I did get a miracle =D

This boss is a nightmare on foot, you did a great job Dave ^^ watch my run against him, I was able to collect like 6000 TE but still TE isnt a factor in this boss-battle, you need pure skill and luck or you are dead :[

Hands down Lost Planet is brutal on extreme ! I had massive problems even beatin the very first boss on extreme :| Honestly Halo 1+2 on Legendary are a walk through the park compared to this XD nice job !!

@red244 u just stay under it till it starts to roll right be4 it rolls YOU roll away from it when EVER it does that charged roll just throw a grenade (AT) it and itl lose its balance and just keep repeating that untill its dead...make sure u have LOTS of grenades and shotgun ammo and its a SURE win but its alittle luck 2 because when u first go in and turn right the 2 akrid arnt ALWAYS rolling together but when they are its EASY trust me =D

Thank god for revitalizing my faith that I'll be able to do this. I tried the VS trick but when I respawned it didn't give me my VS back. So now I have to fight this guy on foot. Already gave it a few tries, but you renewed my confidence.

To all you lost planet fans again. Easy VS kills: 1.For a two legged VS, shoot the bottom legs. 2.For the high jumping one, shoot the thermal energy packs on the upper legs. 3.For a NEVEC VS,uhh, i don't got a clue yet.

Hit them in the orange pack on the back of the head, or the stalk where it's head is resting.

yo, where's YOUR VS man? To all you lost planet fans, use the plasma and energy when you see them. The plasma gun can knock exposed pilots out of VS (if their in a closed VS, except the spider VS, blast the cover a couple times. Charge the energy gun and shoot at a VS and it will automatically kick the pilot out

Using the VS would be ezmode.

The whole reason I filmed this was due to me realising afterwards it was the more difficult way around it. This was actually the 2nd time I killed this boss like this, I figured not many people would believe it could be done on foot so did it again for teh cam. I then went on to one-life the following two missions, this was some severe training.

If I was still playing I'd have much better vids of this out, I stopped once getting the extreme completion achievement.

you cant use a VS on most extreme bosses...any weapon can knock exposed pilots out but snipers are the best

I just beat this. Let me tell you a tip...

first destory the drones. They may appear again.. but it take enough time to give big damage to boss. Also always keep machine gun and small rocket launcher. Machine gun can be used to kill drones very easily as long as aim auto is on. Also use rocket launcher WHEN YOU ARE IN AIR because on ground it will take delay to shoot and boss will counter with rocket sometimes. Shooting in air will help a lot. Good luck.

It is pretty easy. I beat him in less than a minute. All you have to do is knock that guy out of the vs before the boss with a plasma gun, let the boss kill you in the VS ( to get full VS health) and get 2 VS shotguns and blast the crap out of it.

the funny thing about this boss battle, is that it is the hardest one for me, all the other ones are not that bad, even on extreme mode, ive beaten the final boss on extreme and lets put it this way, don't freak out on it and get your adrenaline pumping with anticipation cuz if you play it right, in 5 minutes ur goin to be thinking why the hell did you do all that work for a 5 min boss battle, im still thinking it

Nicely done, I'm at the same part trying to do the same thing (except I got all the target markers).

I'm curious as to why you weren't jumping when firing the Rocket Launcher? It gets rid of the standing-stil lag you get which can sometimes make you a sitting duck.

An easier way to beat this sucker is to commandeer the VS just before the fight.

The boss aint no match against its dual Shotguns.
