It is beautiful. But, Solomon also is like his father David, not be able to focus on their own love to one woman. And we also will hardly truly find one people man or woman be able to do so. :) History keep on going on and on. It is a pity, also myth, why is so then? :) Just felt very amazed. :)

I've read all comments and i'm wondering about all you said here. Let me tell you: this book is in first place a book of world literature and tells about he holyness of two people who love each other. Yes, it tells about sex but in the way of an holy act and love isn't a game to satisfy only desire. Later it was seen as a parable of our love to Jesus Christ. If you want to know more about this, read St. John from the holy cruice (Hl. Johannes vom Kreuz).

Logically - the Song of Songs is much older than the story of Jesus Christ. It was a hymn of love from Ishtar to Tammuz (Eve and Adam). So obviously it's still about Christ and our love for him, but don't obscure the truth here... the Sacred marriage is not sinful, it's of the highest consciousness. Still, there are dark issues of the soul, that the two of them EXPOSED - religion will not accept it, so what does that mean?

Has it never occured to them that God provided them with a very good hand book to the intimate side of marriage? I know a girl who left christianity cuz of this song, while she was reading it aloud to some of her friends , as to let them hear the words of God, a bypassing guy, ofcourse, not knowing what she was reading & appears he didn't believe in it, he found it a sexy song, he told the girl " beautiful! sex urges here in the street!" she denied & explained that she is reading from her book & he said with mockery "it's a nice one, let us study together!" the girl was shocked, she left 'book & 'religion

The girl didn't deny Christ's love to the church, nor the meaning of the song, all what shocked her the reaction of non-christians when hearing what is supposed to be God's words,. Instead of respecting her, she was considered by them as being like a prostitute. The girl was trying to preach others to her religion, instead she converted to their religion!!She tells her complete story while crying, u can hear her on the net, but it is in Arabic.

No one is born Christian, it is a decision. If the only reason you are a Christian is b/c your parents were than you are not following Christ. No matter what you call yourself.

And I don't have to second guess the dragon. It is plainly explained in the Bible that he is just a symbol for satan (for instance Revelation 20:2: "He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan...")
