  • If my bill was only 90 bucks a month leaving it in the on position 24/7 I might do that. I have Gas heat! I use electric space heaters. They work great. Thanks for the info tho Ed!

    Matt

  • Hey buddy, gas heat is the same situation. leaving the t-stat in the on position only leaves the fan moving not the system...two different thinks...call me about it...luv you guys

  • Thanks Ed!

  • de nada my friend

  • I think becoming a heating engineer is not on my list of projects! Easier to move to a warmer climate I'd say.

  • sound good to me, We'd like to be in nothern calif. ourselves, like around Pacifica/Half Moon Bay....awesome places to be

  • Angela cracks me up!

Heat pumps are relatively rare in this part of the world. I'm sure someone will benefit from your advise.

  • well its not just heat pumpls but gas furnaces also. oil furnaces do not realy pertain to this info (no fan)

  • hehe Yep, shaka the right way ;)

All good advice. I just don't have any of that fun stuff to deal with (thankfully).

  • you lucky girl. we wish we were there in that nice weather. shaka

  • That is good info for people. I am still waiting on the video were you steal away alone and vlog. Thought this was it until I was miss fake nose picker there behind ya..lol. She was cracking me up. *hugs*

  • hopefully it helped. more to come and maybe nose picker will be in the background too

  • Papi are metal roofs as good as shingle roofs and what is the cost in comparison? We are going to have to replace our roof this year, don't know if we want shingles or metal. Thanks!

  • IMO a metal roof is well worth the additional cost cause they last so much longer:)

  • Thanks Daryl. I know they cost a bit more. My husband is worried they may rust. Hugs!

  • I think they use galvanized steel for roofing, like they use for wash tubs. Even if it did rust I think it would last longer than fibreglass shingles.

  • Daryl is correct they last longer, but it also depends on the quality of shingle roof vs the metal roof. also the area of the USA depends on which way you need to go. Metal roof have that need sound when it rains too

  • I leave it on the on position most of the time, it gets the pot smell out. LOL

  • Make sure you change the filter more often
