  • My brother's, me, and my wife were at this show, great show. Noblesville, Indiana, Peace. It was a cold and rainy day with fatalities on the expressway, we saw a bad wreck, but as Phil Lesh sang Box of Rain just before dark the sun started shining, that's what I remember.

  • My brother's, me, and my wife were at this show, great show. Noblesville, Indiana, Peace.

  • The title of this song is "Cold Rain and Snow"...this is NOT "The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion"...the title needs to be changed.

    thank you

  • phil never could sing but great bass player

  • sooooooooo where's the golden road?

  • not sure why this is titled golden road... this is cold rain and snow?

  • thanks for the vid, but this is definitely cold rain & snow

  • I was at this show, it was SO COLD, high of 73 for the middle of summer, July, middle of Indiana.

  • what do you mean? I mean his natural voice isnt that great some ppl arent born with it, but he makes it work and when he sings Box of Rain its okay.

This song phil dont sound to great ill give u that.

  • Oh, I agree that it sounds fine. I enjoy hearing Phil, but I think it's pretty much accepted that he is not much of a singer. Which of course does not matter because he is such an incredible musician.

  • he was also 65 at the time of this show

  • @fiddler26 He's waaaaaaaaaaaay better than Bob Dylan

  • So great! I saw them at Saratoga this run on Jerry's birthday. I can't wait for the Garden show this year! April 25 is gonna rock New york like never before

  • who is the guitarist? i thought jerry garcia was dead.

  • warren haynes of gov't mule and jimmy herring of wide spread panic

  • hahahahah!! omg are you legit?

  • if you were talking to me about wondering who the guitartist is, i just wanted to know. jerry is dead, so i just might want to know who the hell the guitarist is now, not have some doushe try to insult me with some word that nobody knows what it means

  • Calm down big boy, I was just messing with you, talking like a stuck up blonde bitch.

But seriously were you serious about Jerry being dead?

  • wtf this is cr&s!!!

  • Not Golden Road.. Rain and snow..

  • i'm booking Billy and Mickey to play my funeral

  • snap!

  • hell yeah.

  • This song is "cold rain and snow" not "the golden road."

  • this is a fucking awesome jam=-!

  • CR& S sounds like crap with Phil singing it. I havent heard Phil singing since I saw a ton of shows in the mid 80's like Box of Rain, Tom Thumb, and Rev Hamstring Blues. If this is how Phil is singin now, I think I'll stick to seeing Ratdog. Plus, its played way too fast

  • Phil is a terrible singer... no doubt. but with jackie greene and larry c. on guitars they are a way better band than ratdog by FAR.

plus phil still songs great on the bass.

  • C'mon man! Gotta love the way phil sings! :-D

  • Too fast? What the f**k? Have you never heard the '67 debut version?

  • I was at this show too! I got it on disc. Killer show. Golden road-cold rain and snow-bertha!

  • JIMMY FUCKIN'HERRING!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is my first dead experience! great show! great cubensis

  • i was at this show & remember the electricity going throught the pit at deer creek when they broke into the golden road.. whatashow. boston night one was best, though

  • stop the guitar-----ew

  • Rrrrrr !

  • i was at this show.thanks for posting

  • i agree i'm not a fan of phil singing, i personally think he lacks emotion in his singing, on the other side bob weir/ jerry garcia are full of emotion, seeing phil a friends i can say that i never stopped dancing, BUT seeing ratdog many times i can say that bob weir/ ratdog play with so much emotion my mouth was dropped and i teard down my face( and i never stopped danceing)

  • THIS IS COLD RAIN & SNOW!!!! How'd You Mess That One Up? Haha.

If I Was Phil Lesh, I Would Never Sing Again. I Love The Dead So Much, And He Does Tremendous Bass Work, But He Should Never Sing. The Only Time He Was Good Was On The Studio Version Of "Box Of Rain".

  • awesome posts man.. praying you'll psot up the alpine show.. now that was the heaaaaat!

  • hey i was there...this is great...thanks for the great memory

  • I was there at Deer Creek that night. thanks for posting.

  • great jerry by warren...the phocals: eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy : )

  • This is Cold Rain & Snow, not Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion.... It is very hot, thanks for posting.
