Why are people comparing different guitarists and their playing and trying to determine who is the better? All guitarists should broaden their interests in music as far as they can bare to. Be influenced! after all, isn't that what this song is about? its not about showing he is better in any way, its about paying tribute to a legend! a legend that clearly influenced his own playing. Expand and understand all music, and try to show a little tolerance of music you dont like along the way. :)

Its not him making it look hard, its him pouring his emotion onto a fretboard and then unleashing it in the way he does best, he shreds and people are able to pick up on that emotion.
