The train length all seemed to be about the same for each that passed by. Is this by design (like for siding length, etc) or just by accident?

It was really by accident. This usually happens though when there is alot of people running, members won't take more than one yard track, hence the train lengths are about the same.

I like the opening effect with two similar, but not exactly the same, angles of the same train edited to the music. I might try that the next time I'm out shooting the real thing.
