Peter ought to get w/ the fact that he had lost 90% of what he had by the Dynasty Tour. He has absolutely no reason to expect Ace or anyone to call him. Sorry, but that's the truth.
@jerrymarcellormcfhtm that's pretty cool. Kiss is my favorite band. I wish gene and paul (mostly gene) would realize that peter and ace have been clean for years and could probably do just as good a job as tommy and eric. I know peter is up there in age, but isn't the stones drummer in his 70s? I would love to see one more reunion show...and btw the only member of kiss peter had respect for at this time was his replacement, Eric carr. He knew eric created his own persona
Peter lives less than 20 mins from me and I see him frequently. He's 66 now, has mellowed alot, as did all KISS members. The late '80s were tough on all of them. Gene and Paul were running out of money, Ace was fighting his demons, Peter was a mess.
@jerrymarcellormcfhtm how do you get to see him? I pass by his house and sometimes get the urge to stop by and say hi, but that would be rude and I wouldn't know what the hell to say!
Catman or bitter old man with no talent that got lucky once and fell into a great band. Talent wise, Carr and Singer blow him out of the water. If he was as good as what he thinks he is, he would be in the same category as Neil Peart or Mike Portnoy...lol Can't stand to listen to him talk Big tough guy from the gangs....please, he's probably piss himself if he was stuck in a fight. Shut up already. Eric Singer saved that band
@Durtyrock This is from 1988 when everyone was mad at each other, so I understand the bitterness. Peter always offered Ace gigs or appearances to keep him close. Ace didn't reciprocate. NO ONE is in Neal Pearts category. Portnoy sucks. Peter back in the day was pretty tough, I'd doubt you could take him now much less then.
@jerrymarcellormcfhtm Bozzio was with Zappa before Missing Persons. Check out the black page with bozzio or US Drag with MP live from the 1983 US show on u tube. neil wouldnt know how to play either. 6/4 linar beats, the time changes, mixing jazz, fusion & funk all forgein to neil the rock drummer God, which he is the best at rock, but again not the best drummer. bozzio blows him away
Oh, he then went onstage and sucked. He was a drunken mess. He gave me his sticks he used at that show to try and make up for being a dick-I sold them at a convention a couple weeks later.
Bu the way, the picture at 1:30 was taken here in London Ontario, backstage at his gig. I attended this show and met Peter for the first time. I was the drummer in the KISS tribute band ALIVE and we gave his road manager some promo, pictures etc. and Peter was ranting about how we were using his character without paying royalties, asking if Gene and Paul were behind what we were doing. Total paranoid asshole.
@FunWithFlipCam I met Peter Criss in the mid 90's and he could not have been nicer. He signed our stuff, posed for a few photos and had a chat with for a few minutes. He played a DW drum set that night and sounded great, it was classic Kiss groove. A lot of younger guys can get on a kit and sound flashy, but flash tends to sound the same from one drummer to the next, it's guys like Peter who are the rare exception, having an notable style and a signature sound.
He just goes on & on as if he's "on the record" & then afterwards tells what he was @ 1st holding in & then says even more than he should cause he's so fuckin' emotional. Passive/aggressive type talk. He'd drive me nuts if I was in a band w/him. He's not afraid to lie to make himself look good either.
What a douche bag...This guy, jeez...Believe me I'm a Kiss fan from '74 to present ( I'm a drummer because of this guy ), but my God this dude is constantly pathetic. If you listen to other interviews he always brings up his People's Choice award...He was up against "Muskrat Love" and "Disco Duck" ( which he tied with by-the way ) for Christ's sake...Unbelievable...Oh well...
@AllegoryRoad Dude, you took the words out of my mouth.I too play drums because os Peter and am a huge fan-but he is a cunt. KISS fans are too blinded by fandom to see the sad truth.
I'm pissed that Peter and Ace left, but would they have been as hard as they were in the 80's with them? Bruce was more of a shredder than ace, and Eric's drumming was more of a metal style. They would have continued as more a Classic Rock band than the heavier metal edge they had.
the good thing was with peter is that he always had his opinion and always stood upfor what he belived in...............................and ace as for all the rest off the members....................they were little girls
who is that dude on the left with Vince Neil and Peter Criss??

@AllegoryRoad True But he has a point why didn't Ace & peter form a band?
if paul & gene "were the asses" they should have formed their own band i saw Ace & peter in 95.
& they didn't even play onstage together i mybe 1 -last song.
strange thing is a girl next to me said i heard paul is here?
i said uh? NO. 2 weeks later kiss uplugged happened & then 2/96 reunion happened it was Great.
while it lasted.
