Hey ,AnitalovesErin. thanks for the note. Bill Collings and the fellows at his shop truly make wonderful guitars. This CJ is from the Gibson AJ style. I feel very lucky to get to play a couple of them. Best wishes to you.
Hey bluegrasssingingman, Thanks for the note. Collings patterned this CJ after a Gibson so I hope it sounds like one. One guys muddy is another guys Holy Grail. Collings makes some pretty good flatpickinjg guitars, at least a fair number of top pickers use them. The right guitar for the right sound, because of the style and rosewood this CJ will go where a d18 can not and vice versa. If you PM. me and live near here, come give it a stum. And it sure is pretty. Lets pick, westcoates
Gene, Hope this note finds you about to strum something great. Thanks for taking time to reply. Best Wishes, westcoates

Nice guitar...However, I suspect you could probably make a 2x4 and a cigar box....strung with bailing wire sound pretty good.....

Pretty sure I've watched this 1,000 times. Such a beautiful guitar, Bill Collins is a true perfectionist/genius.
