um u took one third of kashmir from haris sings state ofrces, not from the indian army, when the indian army entered the war, they drove pakistan out from the kashmir valley. in 1965, pakistan attempted to capture kashmir but failed and ended up having to defend lahore.

1971 was a bigger event which could not be projected as a victory for Pakistan other wise your text books would still have had depicted 1971 as a major victory of Pakistan.
