  • The question is: Did your guests help you wash up afterwards? TY - Rob

  • OMG, this was great!! I was fixin' to go to bed, but I may just brew me a cup of coffee, and sit-up and listen to some more of your vids. I love you already : )

    ~Tammi~

  • Tammi, what a nice comment to wake up to :-)

Hope you didn't make that coffee and sit up all night.

  • hilarious! 5*

  • Trudy, thank you and thanks also for the the sub :-)

  • A Champagne brunch???

Can I be invited over next? I promise to bring my best china to the meal.

    HA HA!!

  • I love those stones, how are they called? Where can I get some? Still need some presents for X-Mass! :)

  • @MaxwellsDemon2000 I'm not sure where to get them, probably a garden store. A friend gave me these.

  • A bit stingy, are they. Hope they enjoyed your chicken. AutymnRosa

  • I think you better not go to that bar again...hehe

  • Well NOW YOU KNOW! Don't invite those freeloaders over again. Oh btw Happy Birthday!

  • Thank you, Marge. I had a good day, with good friends (not those shown in this video :-)

  • Lmao . You should be careful off inviting teddy bears to dinner that you have only just met.

  • You're right, Amanda. I'm too gullible and trusting.

  • Cooks Champagne? Classy! I'm coming to your house for New Years! And I will bring a dish or 2 :)

  • LOL, couldja do me a favor and put some food in those dishes? ;-)

  • Oh Marc..I loved this... thx for the giggles. We really have to get you more suitable friends!

    Hugz sugar!

  • POT LUCK? I reached adulthood in the eighties. . . .I'll show you a "pot" luck.. . . .:) Once again, you have entertained me. I love watching your videos because you always make me smile. -Steven-

  • I don't know why your videos don't pop up in my 'new videos uploaded box'...but i come and check periodically to see if you have made a new one and always when i see that you have i give the biggest smile :-)

  • Same thing happens to me, Twish. Glad you keep checking up on me :-)

  • Likewise, similarly, also. I never see your vids in my new videos page. You haven't been banned in the UK have you?

    :-)

Silent friends are the best! There's absolutely no chance of losing an argument.

  • lolol! Pebble people! =D

  • Oh how terribly rude of them not bringing a plate and sitting there like stuffed mushrooms with no good quality talk and jokes. Please dont go back to that bar again lol

  • well behaved, quiet, attentive, very little appetite. so what if they are a bit stiff, at least they don't put on heirs.JV

  • heh, at first I thought, oh good, Marc is just doing an ordinary, run-of-the-mill vid, about entertaining...good...he is normal, after all.....

  • Hee hee ...Oh that cheered me up ...marvellous...You're hilarious.I could have sent my Teddy with a dish...! An edible one of course.

Tanx for lovely comment on Mercy Street.btw.

  • It was awfully rude of them not to bring a dish. On the other hand their table manners seemed to be pretty good. Probably just as well because the frog would have probably brought a fly casserole, LOL.

  • ROFL! That's a rather *cough* colorful bar you visit. Interesting, though quiet, clientele. I've never seen a pot luck brunch interpreted in this way, but I suppose if you'd called it a "covered dish" brunch, they would have brought plates with lids.

I recall a few pot luck dinners I had in the 70s, when the contributions would include chips, dips, 6-packs of beer, and pot. I supplied the bong. :-)

  • Ah, the 70s, when people knew how to party. Drink a little, smoke a little, go dig a hole in the diag, call your dad to bail you of of jail. I miss those simpler times.

  • I really am enjoying the cooking videos lately. I'm just now catching up on videos since I wasn't around for a few days. LOL, this made me laugh. But it also makes me wonder what sort of bar you were hanging out at...

  • Given the sort of characters I brought home, one would think it was the Mos Eisley :-)

  • I liked the stoners!

  • OMG!! LOL

Your friends looked a little hung over...

    and stoned.

    Quiet sort aren't they?

Next time invite me...I'll bring the Merlot. :-)

  • It must be great to have friends who never disagree with you even though they sometimes get the minor points of etiquette wrong :)

  • What a lovely and positive attitude you have :-)

  • Thank you... LOL It's the best I can do at this time of year.

  • We've seen those characters in a bar once. Of course we never saw them again after we sobered up. LOL

  • You were smart not to invite them over. From the sounds of it, a lot of people know them. Geez, now they know where I live :-(

  • Your friends don't say a lot do they?

What's the name of that bar? :)

  • You like one of them, don't you? Send me your number and I'll pass it on :-)

  • LOL Looks like we have the same kind of friends :)

  • LOL. Stoned?

  • I'm suppose the frog ate the barfly?

  • Oh, very clever! LOL

  • didn't see that one coming.

  • ;-)

  • One of these days we'll get to meet.

Hmmm, nearly as scary as meeting Zip... actually he is a sweatheart; I love him to bits.

Thinks... he probably cannot stand me.

  • What would be so scary about meeting me? LOL

  • Nothing of course, but when I have had a glass of wine, and another, and another, and another... I say the first thing that comes into my head, just to interact.

You understand that don't you ? Marc with a C?

  • LOL, perfect comment, and yes, Marc with a C understands ;-)

  • I fear what might have happened had you asked them to help you "do the dishes" ...!

  • Lord in heaven! I hadn't thought of that. LOL

  • In checking out your guests and I was wondering, WHERE did the bunny come from????

    Just sayin' Marc, just sayin;-)

    xoxo

  • He's married to the frog. They are friends of the stoners. It was kind of a package deal.

(Actually, an ex b/f gave it to me a few years ago :-)

  • i was NOT expecting that at all. LOL i'm going to have the giggles all day.

  • Glad you enjoyed .

Always good to hear from you :-)

  • I had a friend once bring a box of Jiffy Muffin Mix top a potlot... in the box, unmade. He wasn't very good marriage material.

  • oh! that was my ex husband! LOL

  • Years ago, I had a small party for some of the staff at a hospital I worked at. One of the women brought a really yucky TV dinner. I thought that was bad but your story tops that, for sure.

  • I think I know that frog.

  • I hope you didn't fall for his "I'm-a-cursed-prince, kiss-me" story , like I did :-(

  • lol ... nicely done :)

  • Good to see you, sweetie :-)

  • those are so cute the friends tell us about them

  • I don't really know much about them. For all the talking they did at the bar, they had little to say when they came over. Maybe they were camera shy.

  • as for any matter I am roasting chickens today.. cause that looked damn good

  • Hahaha well at least they don't eat much. ;)

  • You have an excellent point!

  • Some people just don't get it. You're funny.

  • Thank you, AnneMarie :-)

  • Haha!

  • ;-)

  • That was cute, if somewhat filled with pathos. I'd have brought my lemon pepper chicken in orange sauce, and some rice at least...

  • @wyrdness, there definitely was an element of "poor loser" about it, wasn't there? LOL

  • You see some "people" take you so literally!

  • LOL we all have friends like that. You know, if you invited me, I would have brought food. Just sayin.

  • LOL, OMG Marc, I loved this! You are so funny and creative! I do love all your dishes!! Love your clay roaster too! Your guests were one of a kind and I can tell they loved the chicken! LOL

  • I would have brought a dish to pass at your potluck... ME!!!!!!! ha ha, know you're still my youtube crush. Love ya!

  • HAHAHA! You're the only dish I need.

  • I see you met some of my friends from the bar....lol

  • LOL, that was a good one, thanks

  • Thanks for watching, Steve. Going to have to check out this new channel, later today.

  • OMG !!! I laughed so hard I almost peed my paints.... HAHA

    that was a good one!

    Marc your funny!

  • Thank you Grace :-)

BTW, did I ever mention that, in HS and college, I wrote short stories and each one had a character named "Graziella"?

  • LOL I know people that smart :)

  • Couple of stone faces and a frog. The warm fuzzy bunny seems more your type.

  • You're right, Robert. I've always preferred the warm, fuzzy type.

  • That's what you get for running around in bars..................p.s. bring a chicken next week. I've got some potatos and gravy left over from thanksgiving.......

  • Haha, that was bizarre, I loved it!

  • I'm nothing if not bizarre :-)

  • with friends like that who needs enemas?

  • LOL!

  • Damn - if you cook that well for friends you just met at the bar - can only imagine what you would make if I came over :D hehe

BTW - I would definitely bring food (in addition to the dish)

  • The one with the big ears has shifty eyes...don't trust him!

  • Really? Drat! He's the one I was going to ask back.

  • having a plethora of one liners as a response I das'nt dish them out...

  • Sure you das! Go for it :-)

  • hahaha. i will come over anytime to have a nice brunch! :D

  • At least they look happy.

  • I had the same thing happened to me once...but all my silverware was missing afterwards. Have you checked your cabinets? hugs, Chris :-)

  • fucking classic.

  • That's the quality of friends that you meet in bars! Probably not the best conversationalists when they are sober either. Oh well, who needs friends anyway???

  • That is so good. I wish I could have come. The chicken looked good. I laughed silly when I saw those dishes...lol

  • LOLOL You had me going there! I wish I lived in your town. We could have brunch with your dog, my cat, and a couple of garden gnomes. :)

  • I wish you lived here, too. And Maggie loves cats! Unfortunately, she hasn't found one that loves her, yet :-(

  • hahaa, you are so clever and cute :)

  • We have the same coffee machine (((HUG)))

BTW the Vegan Cookbook by the roasted chicken made me giggle LOL

  • Only YOU would notice that! ROFL!

  • hahahaha....looks a lot like my mates.....lol...

  • Nah, yours are far more animated LOL

  • Hey I think a couple of those people have been to my house Perr! That was great. -Jim

  • I'm sure they have been. Bunch of freeloaders!

  • hahahaha!! Yep...we DO have the same kind of friends! And most of them are stone faced and don't seem to understand the "bring a dish" statement...hahaha!

    xoxoxoxoxo

  • Actually, I'm thinking I was lucky they DIDN'T bring any samples of their cooking.

  • You do have a good point there! Could have been anything they found when they rolled over! Makes me shiver just thinking of those "treats"...ha!

  • I think we have the same friends...

  • Prolly. They get around.

  • I can tell you one thing, Marc, we attract the same sort of friends. I don't know why I keep believing you. I should know better by now LOL

  • Umm, which part do you think wasn't true?

    ;-)

  • Ha ha ha!

Well, that what you get for being such a lush! ;-)

  • You're right, hallbe. They seemed like so much more fun when I was drunk.

  • Some of your friends look a little 'stoned'.

  • True, and SO early in the day!

  • What an awesome time with friends!

  • Yeah, it was a blast :-(

  • I've brought things home and met up with later, people I've met in the bar. I got robbed!

    U should be OK. =)

This gives me an idea for the next/first pot luck I go to!

  • Now that you mention it, I haven't been able to find half the silverware since they left.

  • that chicken looks good they do look a lovely group LOL: )dish

  • Yes, they were so very entertaining.

  • Those guys are a bunch of wiseacres... I guess next time you'll have to be more specific.

    :D

  • I'm going back to my reclusive ways.
