  • Is it hard to find new records in Australia? I mean new releases. Do they do many Australian pressings of new albums or do you have to get them on import?

  • bette midler ha ha ha ha...

no just kidding, i love to see peoples vinylfinds, thanxxx for sharing :)

  • I've just check out the vinyl cafe as per your recommendation. Cheers. They have some great stuff. Love the cheap postage and great prices. Cheaper than eBay.

  • You should check Intergalactic Lovers "Greetings & Salutations" + dEUS "Keep You Close" vinyl. Available at ebay. Next week available: School Is Cool "Entropology". All highly recommended.

  • Just discovered ya, I know its terrible and I don't have any excuses. Hoping to make up for it by subscribing :)

  • I want that Manchester Orchestra album!

Have fun at the record fair. The ones that I've been to in the Chicago area have been pure record geek heaven! You should definitely bring your camera with you, too.

  • cool video, my copy of song remains the same is trashed! great find! -max

  • Some great finds! Keep smiling ;-)

  • What are the prices for used vinyl in Australia? Here in Italy you won't find anything in good conditions under the 10 - 20 Euros mark :(

  • @lshin80 For the more popular stuff you're looking at $15+. Prices have definitely gone up in the past couple of months and even garage sales are selling LP's for $10 each, which I think is crazy! Sometimes you get lucky (like I did) but I think people are realising vinyl is very popular at the moment all over the world!

  • @Rhiview Yeah vinyl is becoming more popular, and people want to profit from that. I had to pay 30 Euros for LZ IV and 40 Euros for a late 70's US pressing of LZ III...bleah! My luckiest find was a copy of The Edgar Winter Group "They Only Come Out At Night" for 5 Euros.

  • That's a bad place to start with the Moody Blues, see if you can find "A Question Of Balance" or "Days Of Future Passed" or "In Search of the Lost Chord" Really anything before 1974 when they first broke up is good.

I hope you decide to take your camera to the record fair, those are always fun to watch and I have never been to one myself yet.

    Cheers!

  • @SupraWes Yes other people have recommended Days of Future Passed also, so I'll keep an eye out for it, thanks.

  • Interpol - Antics is one of my all-time favorite records by one of my favorite bands. Do u have their first album Turn on the Bright Lights? It's even better in my opinion. Nice Zeppelin. After seeing your video in which u showed the Mothership box I went out and grabbed it too. I love Contra. Great video. Be well.

  • @bostonianreggie No I don't have their first album but it's definitely on my want list now since I enjoyed Antics so much. Did you like the Mothership box set?

  • @Rhiview Definitely get Turn on the Bright Lights. I love the Mothership boxset. I can't say that I listen to it often because I have all the songs from it on their studio albums either on vinyl or on cd/ipod, but it is good to have none the less.

  • great to see you again. A video of the record show sounds cool. Take advantage and pickup what ever you can, bring plenty of cash. I got a lot of stuff at the last show I went to. Take care an be well.

  • @mikeinportsri Yes I've been putting aside spare cash when I can for the past couple of weeks because I know I'm going to need it!

  • thanks for sharing your latest pick-ups, there's no reason to feel ashamed about Bette Midler... she's a great entertainer with fab vocals!

I would love to see video clips of your record fair adventure, please share :)

  • @TheArtistMaster Thanks, Bette really is an entertainer, her movies always crack me up.

Stay tuned for the record fair adventure lol.

  • Love your into. Great Zeppelin score. If you have no other Zeppelin yet, I recommend Led Zeppelin II which is definitely my favorite.

  • @beninski707 Thanks, I'm going to pick up whatever I can but it sucks cause Zep albums are always expensive

  • :D

look how long your hair is! hahaha

  • @shonaghhhhh lol, trust you to notice that. For no reason its just started growing really fast but I'm not complaining!

  • Your opening statement about posting new videos: There is no contest as to how much vinyl you need to buy to be in the VC. Even if you buy one album a month, it is as important to me as 100.

Love the Song Remains The Same because it is my favorite Zeppelin tour 1973. I bought that LP when I turned 15 years old. Also 'Buddah and the Chocolate Box' was my first Cat album. I quickly bought Teaser and the Firecat right after because Chocolate Box did not do it for me. Loved the update~

    Rob/Boston

  • @Paneeks1960 Yes The Song Remains the Same is definitely becoming one of my favourite live albums. I'm going to trade in Buddha and the Chocolate Box for something else by Cat Stevens, I'll check out the ones you've mentioned, thanks.

  • Nice finds. The Zeppelin records looks awsome!! Good luck on the fare!
